At an abandoned mine refinery houses the Deadlock rebels, one of the top weapon smugglers in the western part of the United States. Inside the rusty complex houses dangerous gunslingers that have the sleight of hand advantage and are ludicrously accurate with hand cannons, especially when bypassing it's punishing recoil, when it comes to firefights from either police or rivaling cartels. There two entrances that meet up with the main route along route 66 that are located on either the right or left of the mining facility, making it a tough place for invasive entry, as all sides of the refinery are protected by tall barbed wire fences. Deadlock gang is preparing another weapons transaction at their facility, house rules for the producers of the product to set up the location of the transaction. They chose this location, it is remote, not many witnesses to worry about, and there is plenty of ground to cover to avoid capture by local or federal authorities.
The location, Route 66 was interesting choice of operations. It was a symbol of a time during the 1980's of America where gas stations and café diners were popular out in the west of the country. However, it is also a gold mine to the wild Deadlock gang, as it became an easy place to launch heists. They recently raided a military outpost, stealing government hardware to be sold off to either a terrorist group or a rouge nation. Either way, they are supplying violence to any potential enemy, giving Overwatch more enough reason to launch the sting operation. The Deadlock rebels, wearing western American attire, form a half semi circle of men and jeeps armed with M60 mounted machine guns while their client went in anonymous. He was tall, had a dark skin tone, a flat hair cut, and dressed in a red checkered button down shirt with blue jeans and a pair of light dress shoes. He didn't have a full name, as people around called him by single word. Hakim, an Arabic name that meant 'wise'.
He wasn't alone, he was a rich man, and using his wealth allowed him to hire some mercenaries at a handsome rate for protection and to make sure he doesn't go to the slammer for his crimes. He is currently one of Langley's, FBI, MI6, UN, and many other special intelligence agencies most wanted list. He has connections to many organizations, the most notable friend of Talon. But Hakim wanted some hardware from Deadlock, which would allow him to distribute to any of his connections. As Hakim steps off his jeep on the other side of Deadlock's territory, Deadlock's dealer tosses his cigarette to the side. The two meet face to face, preparing the transaction.
"Took you long enough to return the request I asked for awhile now. Do you have what I asked for?" Hakim demanded. His lips gave away the Middle Eastern accent
The dealer snaps a finger; a crate was pushed to the middle as wheels are attached to the bottom. The crate pops open, resembling a big contraption, lit up with lights and holographic numbers. "This bomb can destroy any building, no matter what size. It will be good to get rid of a government agency or even a world leader in a flash." The dealer had his southern draw in his tone.
"I thought I said for a case of portable nuclear bombs. Why couldn't you get me those?" Hakim asks aggressively.
"Nuclear weapons are hard to smuggle now, the country has beefed up security, making it cost more to have it moved and stored in here. I didn't want to show up here empty handed." The dealer says with a groan. "Look, this bomb is rare due to having the capability that come close to a nuclear bomb. What it can do will have the world fear your organization for decades to come."
Hakim takes a look at the sophisticated metal crate. This thing ain't powerful as a nuclear bomb, but it seems it can do a lot more damage. Hakim shrugs before he turns back to the dealer.
"Ok, this thing could do the job for me. I just need to talk to my client and see if he wants it." Hakim reaches to his phone and dials a number. He holds the phone to his ear as the cellular phone rang. The receiver picked up. "Hey, it's Hakim. Yes, I am on a secure line. Listen, Deadlock couldn't get us a nuclear.... Hear me out first, god damn it. This bomb could still accomplish this operation for us; best part about is that it is untraceable. The international police, hell Overwatch, won't be able to identify what caused the explosion once it takes effect." Hakim waits as the client on the other end responds. As Hakim listens to his client, his smile grew wider. The client seemed pleased with the alternative plan.
