Flicker ? Barry Allen [1]

Barry quickly walked down the street towards Jitters. It's been two and a half months since this new timeline had started. In that time he had learned a few things. There was a Flash in Central City, already. His suit was yellow, compared to Barry's red suit. Barry still had his speed. He just didn't have to be the Flash here, so he didn't. Aurora did not live in Central City. If she did, he hasn't been able to find her at Jitters or at the CCPD. He figured she must be in Gotham. Barry had no idea where that was, but he knew he would find her. He just hoped she had a good life there while he looked for her.

There was no STAR Labs. But, Barry had found Iris and Joe. Iris still worked at Jitters and Joe was still a cop. But neither of them knew him. Nobody from his previous life knew him. Well, Joe and the police knew he existed, they just didn't know him, on a personal level.

Barry sees Iris through the window. The first step of having everyone back in his life began with Iris and, eventually, Joe. He just hasn't worked up the courage to talk to her.

He rests his hand on the door, and breathes deeply, opening it.

He goes up to the counter, where Iris is.

"Hi, what can I get you?" Iris asks, oblivious to the man who used to be her best friend.

Barry struggles to find words to say, bur eventually he comes up with some.

"Um.. decaf cappuccino, please." he mumbles.

It comes out quickly, and he leaves just as quickly as he arrived.

Another day, perhaps.

I just wanted to say, thank you guys so much for sticking with this story! Before you go looking for something else to read, I need your guys' opinion on something. For the next book I write about Aurora, would you prefer me to write the prequel or the sequel? The prequel will take place in Gotham and will talk about Aurora's time before coming to Central City. The sequel will take place in Flashpoint, talking about who Aurora is in Flashpoint, as well as who she is after Flashpoint. Thoughts? If nobody says what they want, I'll just write a few chapters of each and see which one I have more motivation for. But thank you guys for reading this book, it's been a hell of a journey of 39 chapters and an epilogue, and I'm going to miss this version of Aurora (as either book I write she is going to be a vastly different person) but I'm happy to see it to a close :)
