If they asked you what you did last night, tell him that you were asleep because Stein injected you.

I wasn't sure if I had to say just that or if I should let my mind fly with those words. Either way, nothing could change Justin's mind.

"Justin....what are you talking about?" My heart started beating and my mind began to race. "What's up?"

"What did you do last night? Where were you?" His tone was urgent but he still looked tired. "Coraline tell me the truth."

I paused and just stared at him with confusion. "I-I was here the whole night....asleep."

Well played. Now when I tell you to run you will. No questions asked. 

He seemed to be tense as he started to move around the room, searching for something it seemed. It took me a moment to process what the voice said; however, when it seemed clear what was about to happen, I only had one way out of this. 

"Justin....what is happening....you're making me nervous." Upon hearing that, he stood still and looked at me.

"You have to get out of here. The thing that hurt you......is here.....in Death City......she wants to finish what she started. You and Stein need to get out of here."

Just as he said that the door busted open revealing what looked like pitch black tentacles shooting at us. I stood frozen in place, trying to process everything. While in my moment of stupid-ness, Justin tried to hard to prevent me from getting hit by those things flying around. 

One moment he was across the room from me; in the next, he was standing on top of me, I was thrown on the floor. Due to the shock of the lack of air in lungs, I wasn't able to fully process what just happened until I heard a familiar dark laugh.

"There you are!" I turned towards the voice. It was the same figure from that night. The one that changed it all. I fought back the memories of that cold night. Stein really doesn't have to see this. Something like this could break him further.

She still had that mask but now it was covered with blood. From where.... I didn't want to know. I tried standing up but the weight of Justine reminded me of the events a few moments ago. I looked down. What I saw next was not something I wanted to see. 

His regular clothes soaked with blood at his right side of his stomach, his face pale with the lack of blood in his system. Fear and panic, a familiar friend, rose in the form of a silent scream at the back of my throat. For the first time in my life, I wasn't sure what to do. I felt scared, weak, stupid, frozen. 

As the moment passed, I suddenly turned to action. I got the closest thing that was near me to cover up the blood. I applied pressure, hearing Justine grunt. I then heard a female grunt behind me. I knew what she was planning. 

"You're so mean. Ignoring me like I'm no one. You better choice your actions carefully." I felt a strong grip on my waist, it was so sudden that it knocked the air out of my lungs once again. Before she could pull me towards her, I made sure Justine had some sort of weapon to protect himself just in case of anything happening. So, I dropped my knife near him. It might not be the best weapon but at least it something. 

"You worthless humans think you can hide from me? I know what you did back there and let me just tell you.....I didn't like any of it." Her gripped tighten. Like a snake getting ready to eat her prey, her tongue slipped in and out of her mouth. I gasped for air. Why can't I do anything?? 

"I came here to get her." My body stiffen when she said this. She rolled her eyes at me. "Now, now, don't act like you don't know who I am talking about. She's with you." I searched for a possible answer when I heard it. 

Run. 

What? Can't you see I can't? 

Run. 

But-

RUN

I wanted to disappear. What is wrong with this world? Is it really that hard to just be left alone? I don't want this anymore. I want things back to the way they were. Justin.....I'm so sorry. Because of me....you might die today. 

I closed my eyes tightly as I felt the Ring Master shoot one of her strings at me. Suddenly, silence covered the room like a blanket would to a sick person. I stayed still. When nothing seemed to be happening, I opened my eyes slowly to discovered that I was in Stein's classroom. Papers were scattered on his desk, the tables were clean; book free from the lack of students. Everything was just like it was before all of this happened. It seemed almost like a dream. 

"Coraline??" I looked towards the voice. Justin was struggling to stand up, my knife in his right hand. I rushed to his side. His legs were shaky as I lead him to a nearby chair in the classroom. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" My heart sank. 

"Justin don't worry about me! Worry about yourself! You're hurt!" I look to check his injury. When I reached down to his side, his shirt was still soaked with blood but when I pulled his shirt upwards to see how bad it was.....there was no longer a gash. I gasped. 

"What the....." I looked again to make sure. Nothing was there. "Are you okay Justin?" 

"Yea...." He replied in disbelief just as I was. "What happened??" I wasn't sure how to answer. I stood up and looked around. Everything was the same. Just as Stein and I left it before leaving for that mission. I walked over to the desk and headed to the bottom drawer. I opened it to see my weapons there. I usually have a belt filled with weapons near me in case I can't fight. This was one of those times. 

I pulled it out and strapped it around my waist. I gave Justin a gun with extra bullets just in case. I headed towards the door and looked out the small window at the top. No one was outside. Technically, it was still fall (or was it spring) break for the students. However, at this time teachers would start coming in to get lessons ready. I looked to make sure the coast was clear. 

There was no one in the hallway. That's when I saw Maire come out of a nearby classroom, a gun in her hands. She moved carefully. Behind her was Stein with Spirit in weapon form. I signed in relief. It felt like a weight was removed from my chest. At least I know that they are okay. 

I slowly start opening the door when suddenly a loud bang was heard at the end of the hallway. Stein and Marie moved back to protect themselves. I reached closer to the window so as to be able to see more of what is happening. Later black strings seemed to fly out of nowhere towards the other end of the hallway. 

I backed away from the door. I wasn't sure what to do anymore. This could mean death. But heck, who cares? As long as I am able to protect the ones I love. 

With determination and cold fear running through my veins and clouding my vision, I ran towards the door. Seeing what I was about to do, Justin tried to stop me but I was faster. 

The last thing on my mind....weirdly enough....was if I finished grading the biology papers before today as the sound of the door breaking and screaming filled the air.
