Chapter Six: Fuck you life

We were watching My Little Pony, classy I know, but once you watch it, you get addicted. I'm serious! It's the best show ever!

"So, are you and Sasuke still ignoring each other like idiots?"

I rolled my eyes at Tenten, "Yes we're still ignoring each other but I'm not an idiot!"

"And he is?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because he's ignoring our issues," I huffed.

"That's a band...Issues. I love them," Tenten mused.

"Off topic!"

"But I do!"

"Yes I do too but that's not the point," I rolled my eyes.

It was just Tenten and I for now. Hinata and Naruto went out for dinner and Neji was called in for some paperwork.

"You guys need to work it out, seriously. I miss the old you and Sasuke!"

"I do too, Tenten. And stop quoting Beatles songs."

"Whatever. When you get your shit together, tell me," she smirked, "You guys are meant for each other, and I will get you two together whatever the cost."

I raised an eyebrow, "Challenge accepted."

I stared at the front doors of the building, willing them to somehow disappear and prevent me from entering it. I was nervous. I was shit faced nervous. Not to mention I couldn't sleep at all yesterday. Again, fuck you life.

I took a deep breath, my nineteenth one actually. I've been standing for a long time and if I didn't hurry I'd be late. I groaned for the eighth time, mumbled a "Fuck you life," and pushed the godforsaken doors open.

"So glad you could make it, Sakura."

"Hey Hinata, did you expect me to be a no-show on the second week?"

"Yup, now go clock in."

"I see how much faith you have in me," I laughed and went to the clock-in station.

Fuck you life.

Sasuke was there, talking with Neji about god knows what. They hadn't noticed me yet. My eyes flitted to my notecard, still in the clock out section. My mind started devising a plan. Now, could I get there without them noticing, most likely no, but it's worth a shot. Okay Sakura, it's now or never. I somewhat sprinted towards the clock in station and grabbed card frantically. I shoved it in the clock in section right on time, I was officially not late. I turned around, feeling victorious and walked away.

I did it! I actually managed that! I cannot believe they didn't see me! I did a little happy dance in my head as I stepped into my office. Oh god, what was I supposed to do now. And oh god, what the hell is that on my desk. It was a folder.

I cautiously approached it, taking it in my hands and scanning the contents. Oh man, it was a murder file. And I had to solve it. I bit my lip as I read the details.

'Liu Xiang. Female. Twelve. Place of origin: China. Place last seen: South Korea. Residence when body was found: Japan. Found murdered/raped in her apartment on May 17, 2013.'
