i smiled as i stared at the wall clock. every minute, i looked at the window as i waited patiently for my husband to come home and celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.
i heard a car engine so i happily stood up and waited in front of our door. i wanted to surprise him.
the door opened, revealing...
a not so in the mood kookie.
"hi hun happy--
once again, he didn't let me finish and just walked past me.
"hun, i cooked you favorite--
"not today, lisa." he stopped me and turned back at me with a straight face. "you go eat, i'm not hungry."
with that, he left me in the living room. it was so quiet and the only thing you could hear was the clock ticking. i looked up to check the time and realized it was already midnight.
i went to the dining table and stared at everything i cooked for him. all of these are his favorite. all of this... only for him.
i sighed and started cleaning and clearing out the table.
i smiled and shook my head.
it's okay, lisa.
jungkook just had a bad day.
his boss gave him a hard time again. boss problems really do suck.
he loves you and he'll remember your anniversary tomorrow morning. trust me.
but as i was about to smile again, a tear managed to escape from my eyes.
when i tried to wipe it.. another one fell... until i finally broke down...
quietly.
