A Fix in Time ~Benlos~

Meeting Again

"Coming," I say quickly but before I could even make my way to the door, it had already been opened and stood in its place was a girl with long pretty brown hair. Her skin was a nice chocolate color, almost looking blemishless, she was standing there smiling at the two of us as if she had known us. 

"Oh my goodness, Carlos, Jay! It's been so long! Bring it in!" She states excitedly as she pulls jay and I into a forced hug. 

"Uhm, I'm sorry but do we know you?" I ask, trying my best not to sound rude.

"Don't be silly, it's me, Uma!" She says, with a huge smile still plastered on her face, just like Sazana had on hers. Wait, That's Uma?! The last time I had seen her she had aqua blue braids in her hair and she looked completely... different.

"U-Uma?" I say dumbfounded and she nodded, giggling. "But... your hair?"

"Oh, that, well when we got here I was really struggling with being good and evil so-so, blah boring stuff. Long story short I had lost myself and I needed help to basically find the person I was meant to be. So with some help from the big FGM, I got rid of the braids, dyed my hair, and started to dress more appropriately." She was still smiling but you could tell her mood had been completely messed up. 

"Sorry to hear that, but we're trying to unpack so if you don't mind," Jay said with a sarcastic smile on his face and she nodded.

"Oh my goodness, yes of course. I just wanted to come in here and say I wanted to make amends. How about we keep what happened back on the island, on the island?" She says trying to sound her sweetest. Jay looks at me and just shrugs his shoulders and I look back at her. 

"Yeah, what happened on the island, stays on the island," I say with a small smile on my face.

"Yay!!" She squeals loudly and pulls Jay and I into another forced hug. "Okay, I'll leave you guys to pack and I'll see you later!" With that, she left and close the door behind her. 

"Man, these guys have gotten weird!" Jay says as he turns back to pull more stuff out of his bag of stolen goods.

"They've just found the good in themselves. There's nothing weird with that." I blurt out on accident and he looked like he was about to continue the conversation from earlier, but I didn't feel like coming up with another excuse. "I'm going to go look around." 

I quickly got up and left the room before he could even respond. I turned right and started walking towards the museum, it was nice and quiet and that's what I needed right now. 

As I walked, I kept thinking about all the drama that happened in the other timeline. How it took forever for Ben to find out that we were true loves. How the plan accidentally got messed up because we were true loves. And suddenly I remembered the moment that really led to all of it, the first moment that Ben and I ever really connected. 

~FlashBack~ 

"Ben please don't let it get me! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for what our parents did, I'm sorry for being the son of a villain, but please don't punish me for it!" I say, this time at a whisper, sounding more desperate.

"Carlos." He said slowly and I opened my eyes and the dog was gone. He looked at me with sadness in his eyes. "You're okay." He said and my breathing started to slow down. Then I had a full on break down right in front of him. I let all my tears and sobs come out from all the fear that had built up inside of me.

I rushed over to him and wrapped my arms around him, crying into his chest. It took him completely by surprise and I knew it, but I just needed someone to comfort me right now. After a while, he wrapped his arms around me and put his chin on the top of my head. He massaged circles into my back and he just let me continue to cry into his chest.
