CHAPTER TWO ::
[×]
I downed a round of Jack and then lined the shot glasses back up before pouring more.
"Rachelle, open up!", the kid from next door, Xavier, banged on my door and I groaned in annoyance.
"What's up? A fire?", I growled when I opened the door making him jump in fear.
"These guys wanted to talk to you."
I glanced behind him and groaned loudly as I spotted Tig and Chibs standing against the wall.
"Go home, X. Next time, don't talk to strangers."
He ran off back down the stairs where he hung around with his friends.
I turned back to the two men giving me a small smirk. Tig's eyes scanned me over and I rolled my eyes as I closed my robe and pushed the door open further.
"Come in."
"Miss us, darlin'?"
"You, Chibs. Not him...", I pointed to Tig who was acting as if he were Superman with XRay vision. "Some things never change," I said picking up my pack of smokes and grabbing a lighter off the coffee table.
"You have. Are those real?", Tig held his own chest.
I rolled my eyes at his immature behavior.
"Why are you two here? Gemma thought her speech wasn't enough."
"We need you to help Jax get Abel back."
"Why?", I lit my smoke and sat down on the sofa.
"You know why, lass."
"No, I don't. You all wanted to crucify me and now all of a sudden I'm useful," I snapped grabbing a shot glass and downing the brown liquor before tossing another one back.
"We just need you for a few hours. You can do your crazy psycho stuff and we can get Jax's son back. I know you want to help him."
"No, I don't," I repeated this time with more force.
"Just come with us, lass. See how bad the kid's got it."
I rolled my eyes taking a deep drag before realizing there was nothing calming about this meeting.
"Fuck it! Okay, I'll help but only because I want to see my Dad, not cause of you assholes."
Chibs wrapped an arm around me with a small smile. I shrugged his arm off and glared at him. He hadn't been one of the ones to condemn me but he never spoke up for me either.
"Let me get dressed," I smashed my cigarette in the ashtray and took another shot before heading to my bedroom.
In a matter of minutes, I was dressed in black leather tights with mesh slits, a black leather corset bustier, and a black bomber jacket with a pair of black red bottom heels.
"Whoa, mama! You looking fine as ever," Tig continued to torture me with his perverted comments.
I flipped him off grabbing a hair tie to place my curly locks into a messy bun and then grabbed my shades and purse when we headed out the door.
"How long you been here?", Chibs gestured to the apartment complex I had made my home in the past six months.
"Six months. Never stay still for too long. How Gemma found me is beyond me. I changed my name."
"You can't run from Charming, babe."
"Oh yes, you can," I stated matter of factly.
My clothes were packed in the trunk and everything that I bought in my new life, I would keep in the place that I rented out. So I didn't have to clean out my closet or drawers because material things weren't all that important and everything important to me was inside my car.
"Follow us."
I saluted the both of them before climbing into my car.
