A/N: ah, another Quentin x Reader huh? You guys seem to enjoy it, heh.
(F/rp) = Favorite romance book

"Ain't it fun?" You sang under your breath as you stared into the fire, "Living in the real world..?"

You breathed a shaky breath as you looked down at your hands. You remembered watching your friends die in the last match you had a few minutes ago.

It's ok. They said. You'll do better next time.

Obviously it wasn't ok. You had simply watched them die as you stood at the gate, tears welling your eyes.

Of course, you weren't used to this, for you had arrived at this mysterious realm two days ago. Watching death seemed to be the most terrifying thing here, not experiencing it, just knowing that others felt it too. You hated watching people get hurt when you knew you could have helped them and done better. They sacrificed themselves for you, they gave themselves up for you.

"Ain't it good..?" You muttered. "Being all..."

"Alone."

You jump at the voice, whipping your head around to see Quentin standing there, a book in his hand.

"Oh... hey Quentin..." You say, turning your head back to the fire, blushing because you didn't like people hearing you sing.

He chuckled and sat next to you. He carefully opened the black book he was holding and began to read silently.

You sigh and began to read over his shoulder.

"What are you reading?" You ask curiously.

You saw his face flush. "Oh, uh." He flinched a little and paused. "It's a romance..."

"Hm... what's it called?" You tilt your head for the cute effect, which seemed to work perfectly on him.

"It's called (f/rb)." He looked away from you, trying to hide his blush.

You found his blush spread like a wildfire. You wondered if it was because of you, but of course, you were the only one there with him.

When you woke up in the Entity's realm, Quentin was the first one to help you. He taught you the methods, the generators, the concept of the game, and the way the Entity works. He was your mentor and you admired him. He for sure felt the same way, you were just better at hiding it.

"That's interesting. I remember reading it when I was young." You smiled and read the familiar pages.

He nodded and cleared his throat. "What do you remember before coming here?"

You leaned towards the fire and stared down into it. "I remember a lot of screaming, a lot of fire. Mother telling me to run and get out of the fire..." you paused, the memory coming back to you. "I didn't know where to go, so I ran into the forest, far away from the scene as my family died. Entity wrapped around me and I was too scared of the fire that I didn't want to bother with them. I let them take me." You looked back at Quentin who was listening intently. "Then I met you."

There was more blush, making you giggle.

"Did you like or date anyone?" He asked, trying to cover his mouth and act casual with his flustered state.

You smiled. "I never dated any one. Never liked any one. I wanted to wait for the right man. Some one who could like me and appreciate me the way I do with them. And I think I found him." Your heart began racing at the last sentence you said, wondering if you were wrong to think he thought the same.

"Who?" He uncovered his mouth and looked disappointed.

"You, silly." You stuck your tounge out and prayed to all gods you could think of that you weren't wrong about his feelings.

His eyes widened as he covered his mouth again and turned away, the blush creeping to his neck.

You giggled and hugged him. Quentin froze and looked at you whilst you smiled. Leaning closer to him, your lips connected. He was shocked at first before slowly kissing back and wrapping his arms around you waist.

You deepen the kiss, your heart racing as you moved your lips with his. Shyly, he decided to french kiss you, his tounge danced with yours.

You shivered as you felt his hand creep up your shirt, and slowly rubbing your back. You slid your hands up to his curly brown hair and hold it tightly, being careful so you didn't pull it.

The kiss relaxed you, freeing you from all the stress you had since being pulled here. You didn't want this moment to end, you just wanted to stay at this very spot with Quentin. You didn't want anyone else now.

The Entity clicked in distaste, watching as the two survivors made love. It willed the fog to wrap around the boy, taking him and three others into a match.

"Foolish creatures." It muttered as it watched them kiss one last time before he vanished. "No matter what I do... they don't learn."
