Kara woke up sweaty and panicked. She got up took a shower, got dressed and started eating her breakfast. As she was eating, her felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She just thought it was normal for someone who was pregnant, but then in less than a second the pain grew ten times as worse. Kara fell out of her chair and onto the ground crying holding her stomach. If she wasn't fighting anybody, she never felt pain. Kara tucked her knees to her chest. Her phone had fallen onto the ground with her. She reached for the phone and called Alex.
Alex answered. "Hello?"
Kara couldn't talk. She was in too much pain. She stayed on the floor crying.
"Kara? Kara is that you? Are you okay?" Alex asked. Kara could hear stuff in the background as if Alex was already leaving her apartment.
Kara took a deep breath so she could talk. "Alex.... Alex, I need you."
"I know. I'm coming Kara. Just hang on."
A couple minutes later Alex and a couple of other DEO agents came into Kara's loft. Alex knelt down to Kara's side. She didn't quite know what to do. So she ordered the agents to move Kara to the DEO.
When they got there, they placed Kara on a bed. Kara started crying more and screaming from the pain. Alex held her hand while everyone did the tests. An hour later, the pain stopped. Kara had passed out from the pain and it was just Alex and Kara in the room. After another ten minutes, Kara woke up.
"Alex?" Kara asked still opening her eyes.
"Hey Kara. How are you feeling?"
"Better. If childbirth is more painful than that then I quit." She laughed a little. She looked at Alex who seemed worried or upset. "Alex, what's wrong?" She didn't respond. Kara immediately thought about Mike. "Oh no! Is it my baby? Is he okay?" Kara asked sitting up.
"Yes. He's fine. We did all the tests."
"He? I was right?"
Alex smiled. "Do you know what you're going to name my nephew?"
"Mike."
"Mike? Mon Els alter-ego?"
"Yeah."
Alex gave Kara a hug. "It's a beautiful name."
"If everything was okay with Mike, then what was wrong?" Kara asked pulling away.
"Well, we figured out what caused the pain. When you fight normally, physically, because you're kryptonian, it takes a lot more strength to hurt you than it would a human. But, for the last six months, you've been being attacked mentally. Which means, that mentality, you're not kryptonian and you're as weak as any human. That's not the only thing though. Because you're being attacked mentally and not physically, Mike is at risk." Alex studied Kara more. "Is that all that's bothering you?"
"The woman in my dream said that I killed Mon El. She said that he died because I put him in that pod." Kara started to cry. "I killed him. It was me. If he were alive we would've heard from him. He would've sent us a message. He died in the pod." Kara was now crying big tears. "I put him in there and he died. I killed him. I killed him, I did it it, it was me....."
Alex cut Kara off. "He's not dead. Kara, he is alive. Okay? I didn't know how, I don't know where, but he is alive. I know it. You saved him. Just like your mother saved you when she put you in that pod. She knew you were gonna be okay, she knew you were gonna live. Mon El is alive, because of you."
"I saved him?"
"Yeah." Alex said wiping a tear.
Kara said she needed to be at home alone for a while to think of how she was going to do things. She went home and didn't sleep at all. After what Alex told her, she didn't want to risk Mike getting hurt. She didn't sleep for three days. On the fourth day, she passed out on her couch and was sound asleep and a bomb wouldn't wake her. Kara had another dream.
She saw a man in a black t-shirt and black pants holding a gun. He had a beard and his hair was a dark brown. He was in a room with a whole bunch of orange tanks filled with water and each containing a body. Three of the tanks were empty and she didn't like the look of that. Kara didn't recognize the man because where ever he was, it was too dark to see his face. He was muttering something. Kara walked closer but he didn't seem to see her, but she could hear what he was saying now that she moved closer.
"Liars. They lied to me because they didn't want me to stay?" He said while doing something on what looked like a giant computer. "I told them I loved her. They knew that. They told me they could've come back here seven years ago to this time, but they told be no. And because of them, I missed seven years of my son Mike's life." He hit a button and a signal went off. "They were right about one thing. I do still love her and I'm not going back." He turned up the volume on the signal and Kara woke up.
Kara cover her ears from a high pitch noice she was assuming was the signal the man sent off.
Kara changed into her Supergirl suit and flew down to the DEO.
"Did you guys pick up the signal this morning?" Kara asked J'onn.
"Yes we did. But for some reason, Winn can't trace it from where it's coming from." J'onn responded
"The satellite on the DEO roof can pick up the signals but for some reason I can't trace the signal back to where it's coming from. I don't have the slightest hint." Winn said spinning in his chair.
Kara listened carefully to try to figure out where it was coming from or what direction was more powerful.
"Got it." Kara said.
