Karamel's Little Comet

Kara almost forgot that she was squeezing Mon Els hand and that she had super strength, because she knew that she was squeezing his hand as hard as she could. He didn't seem to notice because he was too busy watching Alex and any sign of something wrong. It's a good thing Mon El had a bit of super strength too.
"Okay, one more time Kara, you can do this." Alex said. She gasped. "I can see a head! Come on Kara!"
Kara took a deep breath and pushed again and she heard crying.
She relaxed a little when she heard her baby crying. Alex gave the baby to another nurse who took the baby into another room. About one minute later, the nurse came back in with the baby wrapped in a blue blanket Eliza had made for Kara. Alex took the baby and walked over to Mon El and gave him to him.
"Mike's a healthy baby."
Mon El looked down at his son and smiled. He's never been more happy in his entire life.
"One more time Kara, you're almost done." Alex said as Kara pushed again.
Mon El just stood there staring at Mikes little face. Mike squirmed in Mon Els arms until he found his finger. Mon El looked at the tiny hand wrapped around his finger and a single tear fell down his face and he smiled. "Hi Mike, it's daddy."
He looked up at Alex who was carrying another baby into the same room Mike was brought into.
He looked down at Kara who looked like she was sleeping.
"Kara, somebody wants to meet you."
Her eyes opened and immediately landed on Mike. She smiled and started crying.
"Hey, Kara? What's wrong?" Mon El said worried.
Kara didn't respond. She just put her arms in the air and Mon El laid Mike onto Kara chest. Kara brought her son close to her chest and stayed there until Alex came back in the room with Cat who as wrapped in a pink blanket also made by Eliza. Alex laid Cat beside Mike on Kara.
Kara looked down at her two beautiful healthy children. Cat started squirming and started to cry. Alex and Mon el both looked worried and didn't know what do to do stop her from crying. Kara looked down at Cat, then Mike.
"Mon El, can you move Cat beside Mike please." Kara asked. Mon El gently placed Cat beside Mike and she immediately stoped crying.
"How did you know she'd stop?" Alex asked sounding amazed.
"I just did." Kara said. Both her babies had their tiny hands wrapped around Kara's two index fingers. She gently stroked their hands with her thumbs smiling down at them.
Mon El and Alex left for a few minutes to go get a room set up for Kara.
The room they had left Kara in was dark and had a light above the bed and another one on the wall.
"I want you two to know," Kara whispered. "That mommy will always protect you two. No matter what happens, mommy will always save you. I promise.
Mon El came back in to find Kara and his newborn son and daughter asleep. Alex followed from behind.
"Aw." She whispered. "I'm so proud of her."
"Yeah, me too."
"Okay! Times up!"
"What?" Mon El asked confused.
"It's time for Auntie Alex to hold her niece and nephew." Alex said tip toeing towards Kara trying not to wake her up. She gently picked both the babies up in each of her arms and started talking to them. "Hi Mike and Cat. I'm Auntie Alex. I'm your favourite Auntie! Well, your only aunt/uncle. But that doesn't matter because I'm gonna spoil you two so much Kara's gonna hate me."
Mon El very carefully scooped Kara up in his arms and she laid her head on his chest as he carried her to her new room she'd be staying in a few more days.
Mon El laid Kara onto the bed and Alex laid the babies in a crib together and they all stayed sleeping.
"Alex, is it okay if I stay here tonight? To be with Kara." Mon El asked
"Of course. You can sleep on the spare couch." She pointed to a couch on the wall beside Kara's bed.
"Thank you."
She nodded and left them alone.
Cat started to cry and Mon El immediately went over to her and picked her up.
Kara heard her and opened her eyes but didn't make any noice so Mon El still thought she was sleeping. Kara laid there just watching Mon El and their baby girl. He held her close to his chest and gently swayed back and forth until she eventually calmed down and fell back asleep. He placed her back in the crib with Mike and neither of them made a sound.
Mon El turned around to see Kara awake smiling at him. "Hey."
"Hi." She said sitting up.
"How are you?" He asked sitting down beside her.
"I'm good." She looked over at her twins. "We did good."
"Yeah, we did."
