Jeremy Heere. A straight A junior going to Middlebrough High. The straight A part dosen't matter though, the only thing his peers know him as is a nerd. Not popular enough!
Same with the teachers. They're probaly just giving him good grades out of pity for being a nobody. He's certain everyone is expecting more out of him than his achieving. Not smart enough! If he could just be a little bit better though! If he could just have a few more friends, a few more points, anything to prove he was enough! He had to be enough!
So that's why when he overheard the school bully talking about a super computer that could help you in life, he just had to get it. Maybe it could help him with school, popularity, he would finally be enough!
Jeremy walked into the mall, $400 dollars in his pocket. He was exticed, but walked into the mall casually. He handed the money to a shady guy in Pay-Less, who gave him a wintergreen mint tic-tac, and Mt.Dew. Here it goes.
"Jeremy Heere, Welcome to your Super Quantum Unit Intel Processer. Your Squip." It said, the beautiful machine appering in front of him. Jeremy stared it in awe for a second.
"So, can you help me with test and stuff?" He asked. The Squip stared at him, confused. Jeremy was nervous. Could the Squip help him with test? Was he defective? Did he just waste his money on a broken super-computer?
"You're a straight A student, and you want help tests you already get 100 on? Why?" The Squip asked. Jeremy shrugged and rubbed his arm.
"I just want to be good enough!" Jeremy explained. It sounded stupid when he said it out loud, but it was true. He felt if he wasn't good enough in school, he'd not be good enough in life. He had to be better!
The Squip hugged Jeremy.
"You already are enough."
