The five of us flew our lions into the air and formed Voltron.

"Pidge." Shiro spoke.

"Scanning the area now. I-I don't see anything Shiro." Pidge's voice reached us through the com system in our helmets.

"It's a good thing too. Had you taken any longer Zarkon would have taken over the planet by now. We need to work on your timing." Allura's annoyed voice came over the com.

"Are you kidding me?" I gaped.

"What?! This was some kind of test? I hate tests!" Lance started to go on a rant.

"Guys, calm down. She's right. Let's try some flying patterns and run a course." Shiro suggested.

We all agreed it would be a good idea to work on our flying skills. Especially as a unit.

"Last one around the mountain, through the gourge and back is a loser and has to do dishes!" Lance called before taking off.

"Hey!" Hunk and Pidge cried in unison flying after him.

"Guys I think your missing the point." Shiro sighed.

"C'mon Shiro. You don't want to be last do you?" I challenged taking off myself.

I caught up to the others easily. Red was fast and agile. She was quick tempered but then again so was I.

I spotted Lance heading toward the gourge and punched it.

Hot on his tail I thought it would be fun to mess with him a bit.

I used the laser gun to shoot a boulder down.

"Hey Keith you jerk, that almost hit me!" Lance yelled.

"Keith what are you-" Hunk's words were cut off by Shiro.

"In battle debris, lazers, and other ships will be flying at you. You have to expect the unexpected and react to it." Shiro spoke just as a boulder came tumbling down above Red. I maneuvered around it with ease.

"Gonna have to do better than that." I teased.

"See ya Lance." I laughed as I blew past him and Blue.

"Hey get back here Mullet!" Lance shouted.

I was still laughing as the castle came into view. I landed Red with ease. Her claws digging into the earth to skid to a stop.

Lance and Shiro were right behind me. Pidge was next followed lastly by Hunk.

"Yeah, I sorta expected that." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"That was fun. Lance, Keith totally kicked your ass." Pidge giggled.

"Yeah well, I was fine until he distracted me with that rock!" Lance crossed his arms over his chest.

A small smile tugged at his lips as humor danced in his eyes.

He's not really mad at me then.

"It was a good effort by all of us. Good job today. " Shiro smiled. It quickly faded as an irate Allura approached.

"Is this some sort of game to you?" She snapped.

"Allura-" Lance began but she silenced him with her hand.

"No Lance. This is war. We don't have time for games. Zarkon is out there destroying the galaxy. We cannot afford to get comfortable. One day and one day soon he will find us, and I don't think you are equipped to handle it." She placed her hands on her hips.
