Beeeeeeep. Beeeeeeep. Beeeeeep.
I looked at the clock. 12:19pm. I rolled over and buried my head deeper into my comforter.
Beeeeeeep. Beeeeeep. Beeeeeep.
What is that noise?
I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes, groaning. I could be sleeping right now.
I pulled the blankets off of me before turning to stand up. I walked from my bed to the window and looked out at the neighboring house. I saw a big moving truck and two cars parked outside of the house next-door.
Hm, I didn't know I was getting new neighbors.
I knew I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep with that noise so I decided to get ready. I walked into my bathroom to take a quick shower. When I got out, I wrapped myself in a towel before walking out of my bathroom to my dresser. I put on some running shorts and a tank top, deciding to go for a run to clear my head.
I put my hair up and quickly made my bed before sliding on some sneakers. I left my bedroom and went down the stairs to the entryway. I turned and walked towards the back of the house, where the kitchen was located.
The house was fairly quiet so I wasn't surprised to find the kitchen empty when I walked in. I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed a granola bar as a quick snack. As I ate the granola bar, I walked over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water before heading out of the back door.
I walked across the patio and down the steps to the backyard, passing the pool as I went along the path that led to the beach. When I got onto the sand, I stretched my legs and did some jumping jacks before starting my run.
I made a right and began jogging down the beach. I went all the way down until I reached the rocks and lighthouse before turning around to come back. I ran up the beach and past my house. I reached the tenth house down the beach before turning around and heading back home.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I wasn't looking where I was going, and I accidentally ran into something. I went tumbling and fell right on top of them, our faces only a few inches apart.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking!" I exclaimed at the stranger I had just ran into.
It was a guy, maybe around my age. He was definitely bigger than I was, probably around 5'10" if I had to guess. His skin was tan and his brown hair was all messed up thanks to me. I looked up at his icy blue eyes and noticed that he was already staring at me.
He looked at me and just smiled, moving his eyes to notice the position that we were in. Once I realized I was still on top of him, I quickly got off and stood up.
I was so embarrassed by the situation and I really needed to get out of there. So, instead of waiting for him to stand up like a normal person, I ran.
I didn't stop running until I was in my house, up the stairs, and in my room.
How embarrassing!
I have no idea who that was and I just left the worse impression of myself. I needed to rise off and forget about the events that just unfolded, so I decided to go for a swim.
I changed out of my workout attire and put on a yellow triangle bikini. I put on an oversized t-shirt and slipped on some flipflops. I grabbed my sunglasses and a towel from the closet before heading downstairs and outside to the pool.
I put my stuff down on one of the lounge chairs and took off my over-sized t-shirt. I slipped off my flip flops and walked over to the edge of the pool, bending down to sit on the stone. I dipped my feet in the water and sat there for a while before sliding into the cold water.
