"Hello?" He asked again, thinking that I had hanged up on him.

Again, I took a deep breathe.

"Z-Zach" I speak.

"Beautiful?"

"Zach" I repeat.

"Bella, oh my god. Thank god you called. I've been dying to hear your voice" he says.

"Me too"

"How are you? How are you feeling? Don't scare me that way again Bella"

"Zach, im fine. But how are you? I'm sorry I left you there. My mom took me back to the house when I was still unconscious. I was going to try calling you but mom took away my phone and computer"

"Hey, its fine. I understand, my mom tried taking away my phone too but my dad convinced her not to because in case anything else like this happened again. I'm okay"

"Are you still at the hospital?"

"Yeah, the doctor already announced that he thinks I will take a long time until I am in the conditions to leave" he says.

"But why?"

"He says that the wound can still open up and get an infection again or I can still lose blood"

"I-"

The sound of someone trying to open my door suddenly interrupts my conversation with Zach.

I close my mouth and stop myself from saying anything, who could it be?

"Bella, open the goddamn door"

My mom. Fudge.

"Babe?" I can still hear Zach's voice through the phone reassuring that I was still on the line.

What do I do?

"Bella. Open now" mom yells again, this time turning the door knob harshly.

Without thinking, I hang up on Zach and hide the phone under the couch before opening the slide doors, going back into my room and closing them as if I wasn't in my balcony.

I then walk towards the door, messing up my hair first and then unlocking it.

"Yes mother?" I ask her.

She furrowed her eyebrows and looked around my room as if she suspected something.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"I was just in my bathroom fixing my hair, I wanted to go out tonight and-"

"You're not going out tonight Bella. We have work meetings that your father and I need you to attend along with your brother. They're really important so be ready in ten minutes"

"Mom, I told you I didn't want to-"

"We'll be waiting for you downstairs" she says completely ignoring me before walking out of my room.
