"He's not coming out, we should go inside and make sure everything okay" I tell Ben as we wait outside the principals office for Zach.

We had been out here for so long waiting for him but he hasn't come out.

"Just calm down Bella. It's going to be okay. I'm pretty sure it wasn't his fault" Ben tried making me feel better.

"I know but Luke–" I cut myself off when the main office door opened.

Ben and I quickly turned our attention to the door and saw Zach coming out with a face that meant things didn't go well.

He steps out and slams the door shut, so loud that I swear the walls shaked.

I stand up and walk towards him. His eyes quickly meet mine and they look away, avoiding me.

"What happened?" I asked him.

He shaked his head and sighed, continuing to walk down the hallway. He completely ignored my question.

"Zach?" Ben called after him.

Zach continued walking so we followed behind him. He made his way out the front door and into his car.

He got in and slammed the door. I walked towards the passenger door and opened it, sitting next to him.

"I'll stay out here" Ben whispered and walked to the bench near the front doors.

Nodding, I turned to face Zach.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"I got suspended" he mumbled it as if it was nothing.

What?

"Oh my, Zach. It's barely your first day back and you're already suspended?"

"What? You wanted me to let Luke say all that shit?" He yelled at me making me flinch.

He's mad.

"What did he say?"

"He was talking about you and laughing about R-Reese" I could hear his voice crack as he said his little sisters name.

"But you didn't have to solve the problem with a fight. Violence is not the answer Zach"

"Sometimes it is" he mumbles.

I close my eyes and sigh. What am I going to do with this boy?

"Zach, what happened in the office? What did Perez say?" I asked him.

"She was getting only me in trouble, when clearly Luke was the one who provoked me. It's not fair. He is going to regret this" he said.

Regret this?

"What? What are you saying? Are you listening to yourself right now?" I squinted my eyes at him.

"He killed my sister" he yelled once again, I could see the tears forming on his eyes.

"I know but you can't be saying stuff like that. It makes me think like you're going to do something to him"
