"It's so great to have you here today Shawn." the interviewer said

"It's great to be back I'm so thrilled to be here." I told her

"Many fans want to we've been seeing with this girl named Y/N. What's all going on? Just friends more than friends?" She asked already knowing that she was going to bring that up I just didn't think it would be the first question

"Y/N and I just friends." I told her just smiling at the camera

"Are you sure? We saw that you two were out last night. Or was that just as friends?" She asked again laughing a little

"No, nothing's going on. We are just friends. We've talked about it and we couldn't see ourselves dating just because we've been friends for to long."

Y/N P.O.V

I just got done watching Shawn's interview and my stomach was in knots.

I know we said that we are best as friends but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have feels for him. I'm currently laying down on the couch in my living room since Shawn said he wanted to come for a while. My instagram started to just blow since the interview and I decided it was probably best I don't get on any social media. I walked into the kitchen to grab me a snack as I was walking back my doorbell ran and I opened to see Shawn standing there with a smile on his face.

"Y/N" Shawn said as I was laying my head on his chest

"Yeah" I said looking up to make eye contact with him

"You've been quite tonight?" He asked me

"I'm fine, I just been focused on the tv." I said a little nervous

"Are you sure there's nothing else going on?" He asked me

"I promise Shawn, I'm fine." I told him again

"Did you watch my interview?" He asked me not breaking eye contact

"Yeah, I thought it was great." I told him smiling

"It's so weird that my fans think we are dating. I'm sorry for the messages you probably get every day because of it." Shawn told me as we just laughed about it

"It's fine, I think it funny and kind of cute." I told him

"Cute?" Shawn questioned

"I... mean... it's cute even though we aren't a real couple." I told him

"We could be..." Shawn said in a low voice

"What?"

"What?"

"Shawn, what did you just say?" I asked him still shocked by what he said

"I mean we could be. There's nothing wrong with trying." He told me

"Umm." I said nervously as we were both silent for a second

"How about this. We go on a date, it can be something really simple. It's worth a shot." He told me

"Alright, lets see if this could work" I told him smiling
