'He's Dead' They Said | A Voltron X Reader Fanfiction

We all made it back to the castle, where Shiro was awaiting his lion. I couldn't blame him. I could tell he was excited, even if he didn't show it. Each lion's eyes glowed, and the door concealing the Black Lion rose. The creature was very majestic, much larger than the others, with red wings of some sort. It roared, getting the attention of the other four lions, and they roared back. It was sort of like a family reunion, but better. Unfortunately, our happiness vanished when we heard alarms. The Galra had followed us, and they were here to destroy. Luckily, we were all still in the lions, and ready to go.

“Sendak is entering the Arusian atmosphere. We need Voltron now!” Allura said.

Shiro entered his lion, ready to fight with the rest of us. He flew us into the sky, and we landed right outside the castle. The Galra cruiser and its many fighting ships fired at the particle barrier. Then, something big fired.

“Arghhhh!” we all screamed and groaned as it shook the castle, the lions, and our very being.

It felt like we were being torn apart, but, as soon as it came, it left.

“Man, those Galra guys repair things fast,” Hunk stated.

“The barrier gets weaker with every blast!” Coran said. “Once that shield goes down, the castle will be defenseless.”

“I can give you cover with the castle defenses for a while, but you have to form Voltron now, or we'll all be destroyed!” Allura screamed.

“Jeez, no pressure,” Hunk whined.

Another blast from the ion cannon hit the barrier, jolting us all again. We all groaned, definitely not liking the feeling. While all this was happening, I was still stuck in the Red Lion, doing nothing except kill my injured leg because I was standing on it.

“Listen up Team Voltron! The only way to succeed is to give it all you've got! This looks bad, but we can do this! Are you with me?” Shiro asked us.

We all nodded, forgetting that we couldn't see each other.

“I'm nodding. Is everyone else nodding?” Hunk asked.

“Yes.”

“Let's do this!” Shiro said, leading us forward in battle.

Keith jumped Red forward, and I gripped the back of his seat harder.

“Uh...how?” Lance asked.

“Good question,” Shiro replied.

“Does anyone have any ideas of how to form Voltron?” Keith asked.

“Allura didn't tell you guys how to do that?” I asked him.

“No.”

“I don't see a ‘combine into giant robot’ button anywhere on my dashboard,” Hunk said.

The lions kept running forward, avoiding all lasers aimed at them.

“This is insane!” Pidge screamed. “Can't they just cease fire for one minute so we can figure this out? Is that too much to ask?”

She turned her lion around, grabbing one of the ships and slinging it into another.

“We've got to do something,” Keith said, stopping his lion.

“Combine!” Hunk screamed, ramming his lion into ours.

The whole lion shook as our lion flipped onto its back. I fell onto the floor, onto my injured leg. I bit my tongue, letting a groan escape.

“You okay (Y/N)?” Keith asked me.

“Sure. Let's say that I am,” I snarled, getting up off the floor as Keith brought the lion back on its feet.
