Spyro I: Elements Collide

Author's note: This chapter is about what the villain, Thanatos, has been doing whilst the other characters are in the Realms.

The skies around the area were a dark grey, with strikes of lightning appearing every few seconds. The castle that Thanatos stayed in was bigger than Warfang itself. It had many secrets within, and an evil plot was unfolding.
"Father, how have you been handling the pests?" asked a young dark dragoness. Her name was Nyx, and she, like Thanatos (her father) was trying to rid the Realms of Spyro and Cynder. She was covered from head to claw in dark scales, with similar wings as Cynder's.
"Well Nyx, I've merely given them a small break. I want them to think they're safe, and I'll launch a surprise at them very soon." Thanatos said.
"Hmm, maybe you could erupt that volcano right next to them. They won't stand a chance!"
"That is a brilliant idea. I feel like it would be too easy..."
"Yeah, I want a challenge!"
"Well, when you are finished with your shadow training, you could face them yourself. However, there is seven of them. You wouldn't last a minute down there. At least not yet..." The door shook when a knock was heard from it.
"Yes?"
"We have some good news, sir!" said a small mole outside the door. A servant, to be exact.
"What have you found?"
"The dragons are headed to Wave's family inside the volcano. They only know of one way in, however. That is the underwater tunnel."
"Hahaha, excellent. Prepare the traps, and tell the troops I'll send them in if they get too close."
"Will do!" The mole ran off.
"Well, young Nyx. Your plan could be a great use in this situation." He turned and looked st her. She grinned with evil.
"Father! The dragons' plans have changed!" came another young voice. This was Nyx's older brother, Erebus. He was older than Nyx by 4 minutes. They were twins. He had great respect for his family, but a bone to pick with the heroes.
"What happened?" Nyx asked.
"They just woke up and started discussing a plan. They're headed to the volcano!"
"There's no need to worry about that. We've already covered the underwater entrance with traps and guards." Thanatos replied with confidence.
"No sir. They intend to enter through the top of the volcano." He turned to his son, then back to Nyx.
"Well, you two. You have been wanting to fight those pests. Now you have the chance." The two siblings exchanged looks, then turned back to their father.
"They won't stand a chance!" Nyx said.
"We will not let you down!" Erebus promised.
"Good. I'll pay the Guardians another visit. You attack at your leisure." They ran out, laughing in a sinister way. Thanatos smiled, and followed them. They were ready to fight.

Author's note: Before the next chapter: Nyx means 'Goddess of Darkness and Erebus means 'The personification of Darkness.' Just for future reference.
