Pam convinced me to go on a trip for myself again. It took me some time to do it however, I decided to return to New York City. The city gave me one of the best nights of my life. So maybe, it would do that for me again. I went through Grand Central again selfishly hoping to see Nick sitting on the floor of the station playing his trumpet. Honestly, though I was just going through all the memories that happened that night.
.I did end up returning to the hotel that we stayed at all thanks to Danny that night. But, I just felt really empty, that I was missing something. For the next couple of hours, I decided to do some artwork on the back of the paintings and after a while, I decided to get myself ready and head out into the city.
The city was just simply beautiful. As I continued to roam I heard some music from one of the restaurants. I decided to go check it out. As I went in I noticed that the place was packed. I thought to myself: The band must be really good.
Not even a moment later, I heard the sounds of a trumpet-playing and my heart skipped a beat. My mind went straight to when I sang " My Funny Valentine" with accompaniment by him. In that moment I thought I need to leave but then I thought should I stay? I just didn't know what to do. Before I could decide anything the piano player moved and there stood Nick handsome as ever just like he was those months again with his blue eyes, facial hair I froze.
Right as I was about to move Nick's eyes met mine and all I could do was smile at him. He gave a soft smile beside his surprise. A thousand different scenarios ran through my head with that one eye lock.
