The boat docked and Nick and got off and headed to go grab some food.
We headed over to the diner that was close by to the hotel I was staying at. We sat in the booth for what seemed like hours just talking. Nick just looked at me.
"Why didn't you tell me before?'
" I'm sorry Nick, he just hasn't and won't stop for whatever reason it's just who he is."
" well, it's not right... you don't deserve this. "
Before I knew it I saw a man come in the diner. I froze it was my ex-husband Michael. I looked straight into Nick's eyes.
" Nick we have to get out of here... now"
"What's wrong?"
"He is here..."
"Okay let's move"
Before we knew it he made eye contact
"There you are" he yelled clear as day on the opposite side of the diner
Nick and I just pretended that we couldn't hear him and that he had the wrong person. As we started collecting our things and heading towards the back door. He continued to get closer.
"Hey, I am talking to you" Michael said as all I knew my arm had a heavy grasp on it
A jolt went through my entire body as I was forced to face him.
"What do you think you're doing here Brooke?"
"Hey" Nick said as he came in front of me and faced michael. "What gives you the right to tell her what to do?"
Michael got up right in his face " I do" he says as he pushs Nick
" Well I think otherwise" Nick pushes back
Before I knew it NIck pushed me to the side and looked michael right in the eyes again.
"Lets settle this outside"
" After you then" Nick said as he was waiti for Micael to pass him.
Nick looked back at m and my heart began to race.
