Max arrived home, quietly, but quickly getting up the stairs to his room. Nobody noticed. He kinda wish someone would. They could greet him, and ask how his day was. But nobody did. The bean sat down on his bed, and began to think.
What if he got closer to Neil? What if he pretended to be more interested in him?
Max looked down at the shirt Neil has bought him. It laid beside him.
THE NEXT DAY
Neil stood at his locker, besides Nikki. Who already had her things that's she needed.
"What did you and Max do last night? Did you make a move? Did ya? Did ya?" The nature bab
bounced up slightly.
"Nothing! And what do you mean by "make a move". You've got to be silly. All we did was go to the mall"
The nerd nervously replied.
"Laaaaaame" Nikki rolled her eyes. "OH, hi Max!"
"What!?" Neil screeched, turning around to where he found the short teen with a smirk spread across his face. Neil was reminded of last night. He saw him...vaping. Will he tell anyone? The nerd continued to think.
"Hey Nick" Max waved to her. "Hello, Neil" His Smirk grew larger. Raising his hand to wave to the nervous wreck. He could see the shiny sweat forming from his forehead.
"Glad, you got home safe, heh.." Neil avoided looking at the green eyed boy. Nikki smirked as well, also aware of how nervous Neil looked.
Max got closer to the the two, standing very close to the nerd. It wasn't his thing, but it was either that or that diary. On his second thought, that sounded WAY easier.
Nikki noticed how close they were, and decided to comment on it. "I'm so serious. What happened between you guys?"
"What? What do you mean by that?" The curly black headed boy asked, glaring at her. "Why do you ask? When do you ever care.." He stopped himself, realizing he just asked a bunch of questions.
"I dunno, man" the nature bab answered. "I was just curious"
The bell rang loudly. Time to get to class.
"Oh and me and Nerris, Ered, and spacekid are hanging out today. I would invite ya, but, yeah!"
Nikki said as she walked away backwards. Even though she just suspected something went down between them. So, she gave them another day alone.
"WHAT? AGAIN? NIKKI, WHY" Neil screeched.
"You'll thank me laaater" she faded into the crowd
Of teens.
Max didn't care. It just helped his plan. The floof grabbed Neil's wrist, pulling him to the way to the next class.
Surprised, Neil went with it.
No words were exchanged between them.
