I keep typing differently. Just experiencing.
Max POV.
We arrived at the skating rink. People passed by, leaving by a cool breeze. I left the bag in Neil's car. Hopefully he doesn't include my privacy by looking through my bag. Don't know why, but I'm hand and hand with Neil as we walked in. Why is he so nervous? It doesn't even seem like my hand is bothering him.
"I'll be right back." Neil suddenly said.
"I guess I'll get the skates. Take your time." I felt I needed to change my words a bit. He doesn't need to take his time. "On my second thought, don't keep me waiting."
Neil nodded, and walked away to go to the bathroom. I shrugged it off. Don't know what his deal is. Making my way to the dude who gives us skates. I pay. It isn't much. In exchange I get two pairs of skates. Just like what I asked for after I pay. "Thank's."
"You're welcome. Have a great day!" The lady cheerfully said her farewells.

Neil POV.
No, no, no. What am I going to do? I don't know how to skate. I can barley even stand in them last time I did it. I walked into the bathroom, staring at the mirror. A reflection started back at me. It had a sweat shining on its forehead. Nails that were broken from being bitten. It's a habit that I have to get out of. That person was me. Max is just going to make fun of me. I should've just said no instead of saying "yeah, hanging out with you is nice." I should've just said "Okay! But be prepared to laugh at my lack of skill."
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Okay, I'm fine now. It'll work out.
I turn on the water facet, putting my hand beneath the warm water. Turning off the water, drying my hands soon after with a sniff brown paper towel. The paper towel enters the trash can that was almost overflowed. I stepped out of the bathroom. After some searching, I see Max on the bench sliding in his skates. Another pair was besides him on the bench.
I gulp.
Max looked up at me and smirked. "I told you to not keep me waiting."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" I begin to apologize.
"No, I'm just messing with ya." Max finished tying his skates up before sitting up to hand me my skates. "Hope I got the right size. Just tell me if it's wrong, okay?"
"Yeeah!" I said a bit too loud in my mind. "I'll just do that." I took the skates from him, and sat down besides Max. The skates fit perfectly when I tried them on. Did he...did he remember my shoe size? Max stood up confidently. Show off. I tied my shoes. Of course, standing up was easy. Thank the walk for helping me stay up.

Max pov.
I began to roll to the rink. What the- Neil is behind me and his skates are loud as hell as they banged against the floor. I roll my eyes, and stopped suddenly. "Dude." Neil yelled, falling onto his butt because of my stop. "Were you walking?" I asked turning around, staring at him. I'm not planning to join him the floor. He'll get up. Neil loudly whispered curse words. Well, it was like BAM. I'm just saying it sounded like it hurt. Neil managed to stand up from the floor. Not before almost falling about 5 times in the process of doing so. "Why were you walking?" I asked, impatient from him not answering the first time.
"I just like..walking?" Neil lied.
"Sure. Maybe you just can't skate!" I tease.
"Can too."
"Can not."
"Can- I'll just show you, Max."
"Okay." I cross my arms. "Show me."
Neil pov.
WHY DID I SAY THAT?! I struggled to skate to the rink. Others flew by. Some being totally show off's by doing all kinds of tricks. Lucky lucky them. I stood as still as a brick laying in grass.
"Are you going to go?" Max asked, sounding very impatient.
I nod. I tried to move literally a centimeter, and the next thing I see is the ground!
"Oh shoot dude. Are you okay!?" Max was clearly trying not to laugh at me. Gee, thanks Max.
"Was that a-" Max paused to let out a wheeze. "Was that a test run?"
I glare at him. That little- "No! I can't skate. I can't ice skate neither."
"Now was that so hard?" Max's grin grew large. "Now, get up." He demanded.
I quickly get up. Somehow it was easier than when I fell before. A flush of heat comes over me. My cheeks were more pink than ever. Max grabbed both of my hands. "Just try to keep a balance, okay? Skate with me." Max instructs.
"Okay.." I say. Max started to slowly skate with me dragging along with him. We were a little more off to the side so we wouldn't get in everyone's way. "I'm doing it!" I excitedly yell.
"Yeah.." Max looks the other way.
We went around a few times. I had no interest in actually doing it myself. Can't believe Max was so willing to help me like this. When I asked he said, "Well, I guess it was my idea to come here and I didn't even ask if you knew how to." Of course, I argued that I agreed to do it. It totally makes sense that he would assume that I knew how to skate because I agreed to do it. He told me to shut up after that.
This lasted for about an hour. There was breaks for food and something to drink. You know, stuff. I tried to skate again and I can last on my feet without falling for about 4 minutes or so. Improvement!
