Chapter 13: Of Course

"Ohhhh...You mean Dark Pit."

"Yeah. Him." Pit said, looking away a little.

"Dark Pit does seem to know more about her than we do. It's kinda odd..." Palutena said aloud.

"Yeah....I don't want that jerk around her." Pit mumbled.

"Awww. Is someone jealous~"

"Of course not! He's the clone! What does he have that I don't???"

"Nothing. Plus, that's something someone jealous would say~" Palutena teased. Pit's cheeks turned red and he covered his face.

"O-okay, maybe I am a little jealous. I meet Y/N first, and I'm glad Pitto saved her and all, but that doesn't give him a right to get all buddy-buddy with her!" Pit said.

"Oh Pit, you're too cute. How about I help you two along. Take Y/N somewhere nice tomorrow. I'll give you the day off."

"R-Really? Wow Lady Palutena you're the best!" Pit said, his eyes now sparkling.

"Heh heh No problem~ Just being your ultimate wingman!" Palutena said while giving Pit two thumbs up. Pit cheeks turned red yet again and Palutena laughed.

"W-Well I'm headed to bed. Goodnight Lady Palutena!" Pit said, turning away from her.

"Pit.....Before you go." Palutena said, her tone now serious. "There was something else I wanted to talk to you about."

"W-what's wrong?" Pit asked, now genuinely concerned. Palutena crossed her arms and looked out a near window. A worried look fell on her face.

"Pit. There's something...different about Y/N." Palutena said, still looking out the window.

"....What do you mean by that?" Pit asked.

"There's been certain...instances she's outlived that made me question if she's human. It's been bothering me for quite some time." Palutena explained. "I'm not entirely sure what's going on but...Y/N is more different than your average human. I'm beginning to think she's something else..."

"But...Y/N had a mom and dad, and a sister. That sounds pretty human to me." Pit said.

"It does, and that's what confuses me. Perhaps I'm just overreacting. Although..." Palutena mumbled, trailing off.

"Well...why don't we just ask her? I'm sure Y/N wouldn't mind clearing things up." Pit suggested.

"I'm not sure if Y/N is aware of it...but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask." Palutena said.

"Great! We can ask her tomorrow! Glad we cleared that up!" Pit said, smiling a little.

"I'm glad too. Now go and get your rest Pit! You've got a long day ahead of you tomorrow!"

"Thanks Lady Palutena! Goodnight!" Pit said, while leaving the room.

"Goodnight!" Palutena replied.

You woke up to the sound of knocking on your door. You yawned and wiped the sleep from your eyes, refusing to move from your perfect position in bed.

"Yes?" You replied, you voice a bit groggy.

"Morning Y/N! I was wondering if you wanted to go to town to get some ice cream!" Pit said. You rolled over in bed, now facing in the direction of your door.

"What...time is it?" You asked.

"It's 7 a.m."

You sighed. How could Pit be so cheerful this early in the morning?
