With Newtmas

THOMAS POV:

I nervously sat in the hospital bed. Newt held my hand. "You will be okay Tommy" said Newt. I smiled and held Newt's hand. "I know, I'm just a little scared" I said. I have finished all the surgeries and stuff so now I just have to become a zombie. Only when a zombie bites their soulmate that is human they will loose control and possible eat their insides. I'll survive but it will take 200 human years to wake up. So instead I have to have a breathing mask put over my nose in mouth and the gas will turn me into a zombie. Honestly I would rather be bit again. Newt bit me before to start the turning but that was a couple years ago. So I have been 16 for about 3 years. Explains why people said I looked younger then my age when I said I was 19. The doctors came in with the machine and started to set it up. "Will it hurt" I asked. "No, it might stink or a bad taste but it should just put you to sleep. It should feel similar to drowning" said the doctor.

I guess that helps. The machine was activated. "Ready" asked the doctor. "Ya" I said nervously. The mask was placed on my face. I held onto Newts hand tighter. "Can I lay with him" asked Newt. "Go ahead, just don't damage the wires or anything" said the doctor. Newt nodded and sat on the bed. Newt pulled me into his arms. "You will be okay Tommy. I'll be right here when you open your eyes" said Newt. I rested my head on Newt's chest. The doctors started the machine and I started to inhale the gas. It didn't taste or smell any different. Not that much anyway. I started to feel a burning in my lungs. I coughed. "Is that normal" asked Newt. I kept coughing. "He will be fine. It's just that there are no air in his lungs so he is choking" said the doctor. I closed my eyes as I coughed. Newt held me closer to him. "I'm sorry I made this have to happen to you" said Newt. I shook my head. "Maybe I wanted this" I said. I coughed a few more times before I finished. There was no air left in my lungs.

I felt tired and comfy. I felt like I was going to sleep on the world's softest bed with Newt holding me in his arms. I closed my eyes. "I love you Tommy" said Newt as he kissed my head. I fainted in his arms. I was out for a while. Maybe a hour or two. I snuggled closer to Newt. "You can take the mask off now that he is waking up" said a doctor. Newt took the mask off and rubbed my back. I moaned and opened my eyes. I looked up at Newt. He smiled at me. I'm sure I look dead inside. "Hey Tommy, how do you feel" asked Newt. "A little, egh" I said. "You'll feel better" said Newt. I weakly smiled. "Newt, why cant, I, speak english, or well" I weakly asked. "You just woke up Thomas. It takes time. However you should eat something" said Newt. He grabbed a menu and sat the bed up so we were now sitting. Newt held the menu and I started looking at it. "I'll take the pork" I said. "Okay, do you want some juice or something" asked Newt. I nodded. Newt ordered the food and we ate. I later was aloud to leave and have Newt take me home. After that we started our new life.
