With Newtmas

NEWT POV:

I laid on my bed staring at the radio. It has been a few months since I last saw Thomas. We made it out of the games but then the capital was destroyed. So everyone retreated. I was separated from Thomas. We were suppose to make it to the capital of Montana. But then the bloody cat bots came. The hurt Minho a lot. He will survive and is doing better. He was just badly injured. I am also the only human here. Me and my colony decided to wait till Minho is better and everyone is ready to leave. Then we will make it as far as possible. I don't know if I can wait that long. Thomas, is the only one I ever loved. Sexually of course. I miss him. And not just the sex. I miss his smile, his laugh, the way he would blush when he is secretly drawing me. He's a good artist. I picked my head up when I heard radio static. "Newt, are you there" asked Thomas. I nearly cried tears of joy and ran over to the radio. "Tommy, I'm here" I said.

"Newt it's so good to hear you" said Thomas. "You two, I miss you" I said. I grabbed a chair and sat down. "I miss you two, I got here a few days ago and they said you were looking for me on this radio number" said Thomas. "Ya, I wanted to make sure you were okay" I said. "I am, what about you? Where are you" asked Thomas. "I'm doing okay for now Thomas. I'm in a bunker towards the Montana border" I said. "Maybe I can find you" said Thomas. "No, I don't even know which bunker I'm bloody at. You would have to search all of them" I said. "I know, but I have to see you again" said Thomas. I wiped a tear away but got a idea. "Tommy where are you" I asked. The capital of Oklahoma, why" asked Thomas. I grabbed my map and looked at it. That is pretty far. "I'm coming to you" I said. "What no, that's like 17 days Newt" said Thomas. "Tommy, I'm not waiting around forever. Plus my colony wants to go to Helena. I can't spend my life miles away from you" I said.

"What if I meet you half way there" asked Thomas. "No, you stay where it is safe. The cat bots shouldn't harm me. They hate light and sleep during the date. Plus they are made for hinting zombies not humans" I said. "I don't know if I can let you risk it Newt" said Thomas. "I'll be fine Tommy. I promise. I'll see you in a few weeks" I said. "Good luck" said Thomas. "Thanks" I said. We were silent for a minute. I wonder if Thomas is still there. "Newt, are you still there" asked Thomas. "Ya, I'm still here" I said. "Good, but I'm scared" said Thomas. "Me two, but I'll be okay" I said. "How will I know when you get here" asked Thomas. "Well I have that micro chip in me if you remember. You can use that to track me" I said. "Are you sure I can't just come to you" asked Thomas. "Tommy I would love that but you can't always be the one protecting me. I have to take my own chances sometimes" I said. "I know that but, I like knowing you're safe. Plus you're still human" said Thomas. "I can make it Thomas. Humans may have gotten lazy over the years but I can make it. I'm leaving tomorrow at dawn" I said. "I'll see you in about 17 days Newt, get some sleep" said Thomas. "I will, I love you" I said. "I love you two" said Thomas. I climbed into bed and fell asleep. Tomorrow my journey starts.
