"You're just as they said you were," Shoto said, his left arm still lit up with threatening flames dancing along his limb. He held his arm out in front of him, daring Stain to try anything. "But you won't be taking anymore lives, Hero Killer."
"Todoroki," Midoriya cried out, "you can't let that guy get your blood!"
"Yeah," I groaned out, hissing as I tried not to move and agitate my wounds, "I-I think he controls his enemy's actions by swallowing it. That's how he got Native, Midoriya and Iida."
"Stop talking, Y/N," my eyes widened at that, training onto Shoto's fierce expression.
The fire's light flickered in his beautiful eyes, lighting up how angry he looked. They were trained on the villain in front of him, burning his heated gaze into him as if he could melt the guy. Shoto's fists were clenched, and a slight tremble shook his body.
Usually - whenever he was mad - he would have a cold calmness wash over him, his glares capable of freezing anyone in place and sending endless chills down their spines. However, there was no trace of ice surrounding him. Not this time.
Only fire.
The intense heat in his eyes was terrifying, and the rage I felt from him was more overwhelming than I'd felt from him before. Blue and grey eyes flickered to meet my E/C ones, and just one glance told me all I needed to know.
Shoto Todoroki was mad. Beyond mad, actually. Pissed, fuming, enraged, utterly and fiercely angered. I'd never seen his eyes so animalistic, and - although I knew his anger wasn't aimed at me - I was slightly petrified as to what would happen next. The very same look in Stain's eyes told me that he was feeling the heat, as well.
"Shoto..." I muttered out, my insides twisting uncomfortably.
"I told you to stop talking, Y/N," he repeated, his fire flaring slightly as he raised his voice, eyes narrowed in on Stain. "You're injured like the others, if not worse. Don't worry, I'll handle it until the Pros get here. Just don't move."
"Like hell I will," I cried back, my own anger rising inside of me. "And like hell I'll let you do this by yourself!"
Who did he think he was, telling me what I could and couldn't do? There was no way I was going to sit back and wait for Pros while a murderer stood mere metres away from me. 'If I can just incapacitate him like I did to Iida in the Sports festival...'
"So, he ingests blood to keep people from moving," Shoto muttered to himself. "That explains the blades. All I gotta do is keep my distance-"
Quick as lightning, a small blade skimmed passed Shoto's cheek, drawing a thin line of blood from his pale skin. His eyes widened with surprise, suddenly facing a fast approaching Hero Killer.
"You have good friends, Ingenium," Stain chuckled darkly, leaping above Shoto. The hungry gaze he'd given me before was back, as he lunged towards the heterochromatic-haired boy. My nerves spiked incredibly high, my adrenaline pumping fast inside of me.
"Shoto!" I screamed, leaning to rip the knives out of me so I could help.
Stain pulled out another knife while flinging his long-sword high up into the air, cackling as he swung the smaller blade towards Shoto. However, he managed to block the attack, narrowly putting up a thick enough ice wall to fend off the blade. Although he'd blocked it, Shoto's gaze headed upwards, spying the sword Stain flung before hanging in midair still.
'He flung that sword the same time he attacked, just now,' I observed as my eyes trailed from the sword back down to Shoto. However, they widened with fear as I cried out, "Shoto, look out!"
