The Five: Elementals

Aaliyah POV
2 weeks later.

"I won't do it!" I screamed.

"You will do as I tell you to daughter!" My fathers voice boomed.

Tears began streaming down my cheeks, how could my own father do this to me.

"Why me?! Why does it have to be me!" I called out through the thick fog.

"Because you passed the test and she failed! Either you do it or I kill him" he grumbled out.

My heart shattered at the thought of having to live without him.

"This isn't fair" I sobbed.

"Aaliyah?" She called out.

"Just do it, it's okay...I'm ready" she whispered.

"No! I won't do it!" I fell to my knees gripping my hair, every atom in my body screamed at me to do it.

I was losing control and soon I wouldn't be able to fight it off much longer.

"It's oka-" I cut her off before she could finish.

"No! Kill me instead, I don't deserve to live after what I've done"

Present time.

I woke up with a migraine.

My eyes felt like they were crusted together and my mouth was dry.

I peeled my eyes open and I was in my bedroom the curtains were drawn closed and the tv was playing twilight, on the bedside table there was a glass of water and a plate with bacon and eggs. Next to the water was a jar of mayonnaise.

Gross.

I sat up and reached over for the water and chugged it still not satisfying my dry mouth, I grabbed one of the eggs grateful the yolk was squeezed out and bit into it. I made a face and spit it out.

It was room temperature.

I sighed and reached for my phone 5:45 pm.

I went to messages and texted Ryan.

Me: uhm hello?

Ryan: Aaliyah?

Me: duh, who else. Where is everyone?

Ryan: were training, how do you feel?

Me: i feel fine, why?

Ryan: wdym why?

Me: huh? What even happened? Why am I in my room?

Ryan: do you not remember?

Me: remember what?

Ryan: you had a seizure yesterday

Me: uhm okay

Ignoring more of his messages I scrolled through my previous messages and noticed I had been texting back and forth with addy.

When did I text her?

I checked the date on the messages.

Yesterday, 4:20 pm

What?

Hades?

I called in my head hoping he would have an answer, nothing he didn't respond.

What's going on?

I opened my messages with Ryan back up again.

Ryan: are you okay?
Ryan: Aaliyah?
Ryan: I'm coming up there
