"I hope you don't mind my forwardness but no one informed me of your beauty" he says softly.
"Yea me either" I say nervously.
He smirked and takes a step back "no, I m-mean obviously I know I look good. What I meant was no one told me you looked good, I mean look good because your not dead or anything..." I trail off feeling like a complete idiot.

"So uhm Prince-" I cut myself off realizing I never paid attention to what Arina said his name was.
He smiles and sits down and pats the grass besides him.
I sit down also wrapping my arms around myself.
"My name is Max" he says.
"I'm sorry, it's just all the other dates I've been on have been bleh and I don't really bother paying attention to there names" I say feeling bad.
"It's alright, I understand"
I nod feeling a bit awkward "so uhm are those pineapples on your bottoms?" I say trying to change the subject, he looks down at them.
"Maybe" he says a small smile playing on his lips.
"Is your hair naturally that shade of blue?" He asks.
My hands instinctively find my hair "oh, no I had my hair dyed to match my wings. Naturally my hair is brown"
"May I see them?" He asks, I'm taken off guard at first. No other guy has asked to see my wings.
"Sure" I say and close my eyes relishing in the familiar tingle.
When I open my eyes again his are fixated on the wings.
"They look beautiful" my face heats up at the compliment.
"Thank you" I say.
"I'm sorry if I seem a bit off, your the first fairy I've ever really encountered and I guess you could say I'm a bit nervous"
I smile "it's okay, so your an angel?"
He nods "I've out ever met one other angel" I say thinking about Ryan.
"Would you like to swim now?" He asks standing.
I nod and let my wings fade away, without warning he runs and jumps into the river.
I really don't know how I feel about him but he seems okay.
"Are you coming in?" He asks.
Taking in a deep breath I run and jump the cold water immediately shocking me.
I let myself float back to the surface where Max is waiting.
"So Aaliyah, tell me something about yourself" I'm taken off guard at first the other guys just talk about themselves constantly.
"Well...what do you wanna know" I say pushing a wet strand behind my ear.
He looks thoughtful for a moment and then suddenly snaps as if he had solved why the earth exists.
"Tell me about your childhood"
"Well there's really not much to tell. I didn't grow up here if that's what you mean" he raises a questioning brow.
"I mean in the enchanted forest, I grew up on earth and I didn't even know I had the abilities that I have until a month ago"
"What abilities?"
I sigh "well aside from the fact that I'm literally a fairy" I say with an awkward laugh.
"I'm one half of the Aether with my sister, she has the ability to heal with a touch and I can...kill" I wait for some kind of shocked or scared emotion to play on his face but instead all I see is understanding.
Weird.
"Anyways, what about you...how was your childhood" I say trying to direct the attention away from me.
He doesn't say anything only smiles, "what?" I ask wondering how my question could be amusing.
Without warning he held his arms out and fell back into the water, crossing my arms I wait for him to come back up but he doesn't I wait 10 seconds more before my mind assumes the worst.
"Max?!" I call focusing my eyes on the water but it's too murky to see through.
"Max!" I call again but still no answer I wade through the water kicking my legs a bit just in case I feel him, but I don't.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit" I'm so focused on trying to find Max I don't notice anyone behind me until overly warm hands touch my sides and I jump letting out a yelp.
"Relax it's just me!" Max says through laughs, i take in a deep breath glaring at him through hooded eyes.
"don't scare me like that!" i exclaim crossing my arms, he only smiles and shrugs and as much as i hate to say it he reminds me a lot of Ryan.
"so are all angels like this?" i ask wading back to the grass.
"like what?" he says catching up to me. i sigh, how can he not understand?
"I mean so...free spirited, like fun or like you don't have a care in the world" he helps me out of the water and then pulls himself out as well.
"well most of us, then theres the uptight elders...but worse than that the fallen angels" he says and somehow the air around us shifts and i feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
"fallen angels?" I ask a chill running up my spine.
"well yea, there the ones of us that fall to our own greed. Or have been corrupt by ha- I mean the dark one"
The dark one?
"anyways, I'm famished. would you like something to eat?" I didn't know what his intentions were or if he was genuinely just a nice guy, but I guess I could trust him for now. so i smile and follow him to the table.

"I'm going to be honest with you Aaliyah, I don't think I've ever been more happy than I am now" max says suddenly and I couldn't help the blush that crawled on my cheeks, although that could just be the amount of alcohol I consumed.
"aweee" I say sounding like a 15 year old girl. He smiled softly placing his hand on mine, and somewhere in the back of my head a voice was screaming at me that this was wrong, but at the moment I didn't care. The only thing that I cared about was Max, and his dreamy blue eyes.
"I should probably take you home" he says standing up.
"whyyyyyy?" I groan standing as well, he grabs my hand and begins leading me away.
"look at the sky Aaliyah, its already dark" I look up and almost gasp, how had the day gone by so quickly without me noticing?
"okay then" I slur and allow him to pull me home.
