You have a kid in this. It's a boy b/n (boys name) that wants to transition to g/n (girls name).
————————————————————————Y/N POV:
Peter is standing beside me as we're doing the dishes. I can hear b/n pacing upstairs.
-Oh wow. He must be very stressed about that English exam on Thursday, huh? Peter asks and cleans the last frying pan.
-I guess so, I smile and shrug as I clean it and dry off my hands.Third Person POV:
But in reality, b/n had a much bigger problem keeping him in his feet. He isn't truly a boy.... he's a girl. Well, she's a girl. She wasn't really sure how to come out to her parents. She was out to her girlfriend, who had helped her make her coming out talk during this whole weekend. Because not only was she trans; she was bi. She really didn't know how her parents was going to react. She knew they were the first generation to start working against homophobia, and her mother led her school's pride parade when they started doing that.
She shakes her head. 'Of course they'll accept you' she thinks. 'Well, mom at least.... what about dad?' She asks and her thoughts start to spiral. 'Dad could be homophobic... maybe he converted mom into being a homophobe too!' She thinks and tears start to build up.
She paces in her room before taking a deep breath and thinking realistically.
'They love me either way... they wouldn't throw me out for not being straight and cisgender' she thinks before walking downstairs.Y/N POV:
-Mom! Dad! B/n shouts as he walks down the stairs. I turn around and smile at him as he comes into the kitchen.
-Hi b/n! What's up? Peter asks. B/n seems to flinch as Peter calls out to him.
-I need to talk to you, he says. I turn fully to him.
-Are you alright? I ask and put a hand on his forehead to see if he has a fever or something.
-Yeah-I just... can you sit down? He asks and mentions to the dining table. I share a concerned look with Peter before we sit down next to each other at the table. B/n grabs a chair and sits down in front of us.
-What's up? Peter asks and grab my hand.
-Mom... dad... B/n starts and takes a deep breath.
-I'm trans... he says and something clicks in my head.
-What do you mean? Peter asks.
-I mean that I'm not a boy... I'm a girl, he specifies. It all just makes sense. The way he- I mean she, always wanted to try all the clothes I bought and always stealing my bras as fast as she turned 13 and her voice started breaking and changing.
-I... Is the the way I look, she says and begins crying.
-I hate that I don't have boobs. That my voice is low and I have no curves. I hate.... This! She says and points to herself. Peter looks at me and he begins to tear up. I stand up and walk over to her.
-Awww, baby... I say and kiss her forehead.
-I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, she sobs.
-Baby... It's not always easy... but now we know and... I say before tears start falling from my eyes.
-We love you either way... Peter says and walks up on the other side of her, kissing her forehead. I sniffle and look down at her. She had to hide all that pain from me... all that self-loathing and dysphoria... my baby...
-Mom... she says, and I smile and shake my head. I grab another chair and sit next to her.
-Do you have... another preferred name..? I ask and grab her hand. Even if I didn't know then, I know now... And I will do it right.
She sniffles, smiles and nods.
-g/n, she says and I nod.
-g/n... it suits you, Peter says as a tear falls from his eyes. G/n laughs and sobs.
-Thank you dad... she says. We hug her close and she giggles. When we let go, I smile at her and rub my thumb on her cheek.
-So do you have a plan? I ask. G/n nods.
-I want to start taking estrogen as soon as I can. I have already checked with my psychiatrist and she says I can start whenever you guys approve, she says.
-So we have to make a doctors appointment? Peter asks. G/n nods and I smile.
-Alright... we'll call first thing tomorrow, I say and g/n smiles excitedly.
-Yeah? She asks and I nod.
-And when it kicks in... maybe you want my old bras? I ask and she nods.
-I could also take them now-if.... that's alright with you, she asks sheepishly.
-Of course you can have them sweetie, I say.
-I love you guys... she then says before breaking out sobbing again.
-Awww, baby... we're here for you, Peter says and pulls her into his chest. She nods and hugs him. He kisses her in the top of her head before she pulls away.A while later:
I scooped us all up some ice cream and we decided to have a family movie night.
-So... your girlfriend... are you through, or...? Peter asks curiously. G/n shakes her head.
-No... I'm bi, we're still together, she comes out. I almost choke on the ice cream in my mouth.
-What? You're bi and you didn't tell us? I ask, before realizing that it was a stupid question.
-Yeah... I didn't think you'd approve, she says and shrugs. Me and Peter share knowing smiles, which g/n notices.
-What? She asks curiously.
-Honey, we have something to tell you too, I say.
-We're bi... Peter says and g/n's jaw opens wide. She looks between us in awe.
-You're bi!?!? She asks and I nod.
-That's why we led the schools pride parade in high school, I say and Peter puts an arm around my shoulders. She laughs and excitedly squeals.
-I have to go tell my girlfriend! She says and rushes out of the sofa.
-Oh... is it alright if I eat this upstairs? She asks. Me and Peter nods simultaneously.
-Absolutely, I say.
-Sure, Peter smiles. She thanks us before quickly rushing upstairs and closing her door.
-You learn something new everyday, Peter says and turns the tv on.
-You sure do, I say and look at him. He smiles down at me and kisses me. I smile and pull away. He looks puzzled down at me.
-I told you we were going to have a girl... I tease and he scoffs.
-Yeah yeah... just 15 years later than we expected, Peter says and I giggle before our lips crash again.Flashback:
-I tell you Peter, I can feel in my guts that it's a girl, I say and look at a pair of baby shoes with bows on them.
-Well, I think it's a boy. We have a connection, Peter says and I scoff.
-Maybe because you made them? I ask and put the shoes back on the shelf. Peter laughs.
-Sure, lets just say that, Peter says. I shake my head and put a hand on my swollen stomach.
-I know you're in there girly... trust me when I say that daddy's all wrong about this, I say and Peter smirks at me as we leave the baby store.Later:
-It's a healthy little boy! The doctor announces and hands me the baby.
-I told you it was going to be a boy! Peter says proudly with tears in his eyes.
-Yeah yeah... he's still my baby, I say and Peter let's out a little "wow" under his breath.
-Honestly, I could care less if it was a boy or a girl... I just want a happy and healthy kid, Peter says and kisses me on the forehead.End of flashback
And we did... we got a healthy kid, who has discovered their true self and is proudly showing it, and that's what we want. We want our babygirl to be who she is, without any doubts....
And she is... g/n....
