I dropped my head to Shoto's shoulder, suddenly finding the whole situation hilarious. A soft giggle bubbled in my throat, coming out muffled as I laughed into Shoto's shoulder. My boyfriend's body vibrated as he laughed with me; that deep, bell-like sound chiming throughout the corridor. And so we stood there for a moment, hugging each other as we laughed, not even fazed that we'd just been about to... to...

I pulled away from Shoto, making my way towards the female change rooms. "Well, you heard Mera. We better get ready, or we'll miss the big reveal."

Shoto nodded, saying. "Right, see you out there."

"Yeah, you too."

After farewelling Shoto, I had the quickest shower of my life; running in and out in under a minute before changing back into my bothersome summer uniform, fixing my H/C hair, and sprinting out of the change rooms towards the arena again. The test might have been over, but something told me that Mr. Aizawa would have my head If I didn't get to the result reveal on time.

And so, when I finally reached my friends, standing between Shoto and Midroiya, I allowed myself to actually breathe. Thank goodness. I'd made it.

"Okay..." Mera started, leaning over a lectern on a demountable stage with a TV screen set up behind him. "Everyone, thanks for your hard work in today's exam. Now, before I announce the results, I should probably explain the way we evaluated you."

I sweat-dropped. Oh goodness, here we go. As much as I talked big back with Shoto, I honestly was still nervous to find out my result. Pass or fail, it didn't matter... but I seriously hoped it wasn't the latter.

"Between H.U.C. and those of us at the Public Safety Commission, we had a two-phoned demerit system that we used to total your scores. In other words, we were evaluating you based on how few mistakes you made in a crisis situation."

I flicked Shoto a quick gaze, but found that he was looking at the ground, not looking at anybody. Oh, Shoto...

"Anyway, the names of those who passed are listed here in alphabetical order," Mera said, raising his hand, indicating at the screen. "Keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name."

The TV screen came to life, displaying a complicated looking grid with a whole bunch of names that were mixing together in front of me. I dared to look on the board, scanning from A all across the grid to see if my name was there. Please be there, please be there! My heart was thumping so hard inside of me that I thought it might break open my chest. Damnit, where was my name?

My eyes stopped upon one particular name, breath hitching in disbelief as right there - on the giant TV screen - was my name.

"I made it..." A huge weight was lifted from my shoulders the longer I looked at my name. "I made it!"

My smile could not express the joy I was feeling, that happiness bubbling inside me and turning into pure energy. I was practically sparkling just like Aoyama as I jumped up and down, eyes never leaving the board. I did it, I did it, I did it!

"I'm up there!" Mineta cheered nearby. "Just call me a hero."

Looking around, I saw many of my classmates faces morph into relief or happiness, all collectively slumping their shoulders or bouncing at their result. Their joyous energies flowed all around me, my smile broadening with all of the positive energy. We'd done it. We'd passed the Provisional Hero Licensing Exam.

"Right on," Kirishima say. "But, uh..."

I turned around to face my spiky-haired friend, only to see him wincing at a devastated Bakugou.
