Octane X Reader

You had gone out for a short walk to get some air, while Octane had a bit to think about what to do.

You got back after around half an hour when you saw the door open.

You walked in "Octane?".

The was no reply.

You searched the house for him, but he wasn't there. You thought to go back outside and as you walked our the door you saw someone dragging Octane to a vehicle.

"Hey!" You shouted.

"Oh no, she's here. Just do it" you heard a man's voice from the car.

All of a sudden you felt an electric pulse spread through your body. Before you could react you fell to the floor, passed out.

Before you knew it you were in a comfortable bed, you couldn't even open your eyes all the way. Your eyes flickered and you saw three people hovering over you.

"Lifeline, she's awake" you heard Caustic say.

You saw Lifeline rush over with Wattson right behind her.

"How are you alive?" You heard Lifeline worry.

"She took more then 7billon volts to her whole body, it's impossible" Wattson said.

You couldn't move, you muscles weren't reacting. You could hardly talk but you managed.

"Where...is Octane?"

"Stop talking you'll tire yourself out" Caustic told you.

"Please, where?"

"We don't know (y/n)" Lifeline said sadly "but you need to rest for month"

"Please...save him, before...it's to late" after those words you passed out again.

You'd wake up say a few words then pass out again and it would repeat itself. You had no idea what they were doing or if they were going to save Octane. A week had passed though and you had heard nothing, they hadn't visited you much. Only Lifeline to help you and Pathfinder to hold your hand when you slept sometimes. It was nice to have Path with you some nights it was comforting, but not the same. You wanted Octane back even though you'd be passed out all day you'd still think of him.

Eventually two weeks passed and there was still no news. Then three weeks, but on the third week, at night in your sleep you were woken by a hand holding yours, a real hand, not Pathfinders. Your eyes still weren't fully adjusted to the light so opening them half was your only option. You muscles were slowly begining to work again but you could only move you neck. You looked in the direction of the person holding you hand and you smiled.

"I...missed you" you said.

Octane looked down at you with a frown on his face, he'd been crying you could tell.

"You don't cry" you smiled.

He had no idea what to say.

"Your never...this quiet" you said slowly.

He started to tear up "I'm so sorry, (y/n)"

"Don't be...it wasn't you"

He move your hand up to his chest so he could hold you closer, you couldn't feel your body so it didn't hurt.

"You are safe" you smiled again.

"My dad...he wouldn't harm me, but if I see him again" he paused "I can't believe he did this to you"

You stayed quiet.

He cried more.

"I'm okay, I survived for a reason" you managed to open your eyes wider "but Lifeline said...I could be paralysed for the rest of my life"

"This is all my fault, I should have never left, I should have stayed at my real home with my parents" he got up, letting go of you hand "I should just willing go back then you won't get hurt" he headed to the door.

"Octane, no please" you tried to shout.

He didn't look at you "I can't look at you like this"

"Don't leave me..." You reached your left arm out to him.

He noticed and ran off.

"No..." You whispered to yourself. You immediately started crying.

After a few minutes Lifeline rushed in "(y/n)!" She shouted.

You looked at her still crying.

"What? Why are you crying?" She asked.

"He left me" you cried even more.

"What are you talking about? He's right here" she pointed at the door to see him walking in "he ran to tell me that you moved your left arm, I need to do some tests" she said getting some equipment out.

"You didn't leave?" You looked at Octane.

"I'm sorry I made you think that, when I saw you move I knew I had to get Che" he moved to hold your right hand making sure to not get in the way of Lifeline "I won't leave you ever, I promise" he smiled sadly.

"And I'll be here, I love you"

"I love you too"

"Cute but I need to run tests, sorry Octane but you'll need to leave for an hour, then you can have her as much as you like" Lifeline smiled.

"You better mean that Che" he got up "I'll see you soon" he walked to the exit.

You smiled back at him.

The next hour was full of questions and needles and wires. You weren't that pleased with it but you managed.
