All the energy in air around me suddenly dropped down to an all time low, causing me to turn around just as the man exploded. Blades shot out from every place on his body, shooting out at such a speed that I had no time to throw up a shield. Still holding hands, Kirishima tugged me close to his body and turned around so that his back wore the villain's attack.

"What did you do?!" I called to the man as Kirishima landed us both safely on the ground.

"Where did all those blades come from?" he asked, releasing me from his grip.

The man simply stood there, his body being held up by the hundreds of long blades poking out of him. One even poked out of his eye. The manic smile that curled his lips and the crazed look in his eyes had shivers running down my spine. This guy was insane.

"Nova sight: on." My holographic eyeglass came to life, scanning over the villain for a brief moment before pinging with the results. "It's like he's powered up or something. His energy levels are off the charts!"

I'd heard of how some drugs could be used to enhance someone's quirk on the news, but this was just mental. His blades scraped the sides of the buildings they were that long and sharp. Damnit, if he got back to a busy street, it would be a disaster. No, we couldn't let that happen. I wouldn't let it end like Hosu City. Not again.

"We've got to end this," I said, gaining Kirishima's attention. "Here, and now."

"Right." Giving me a single nod, he stood back up and turned to face the civilians. "Everybody! Find some place that his blades can't reach."

The villain let out a grunt before sending out another onslaught of blades. I was ready this time, though; as I flung up an energy wall that covered the whole alley, stopping the blades going past Kirishima and I. Kirishima hardened immediately, standing in front of me like another shield. But the blades still came, stabbing and attacking my shield and Kirishima relentlessly.

Amidst my struggling, I saw blood skim off the blades that pierced Kirishima's hardened skin. Wait- pierced? But how?

I groaned as I felt one blade pierce my own shield, breaking through and heading straight towards the civilians. With one hand, I blasted the blade where it pierced my wall, cutting it off and sealing the whole back up. The long blade dropped to the ground with a loud clang, dropping at the feet of the civilians.

"Crap," I muttered. "That was way too close. Everybody, find shelter!" I didn't know how long I could keep up my shield, not with how sharp and strong his blades were. If they could cut through my shield and Kirishima's hardened skin, then we were going to be in for one hell of a fight.

"That's what you get for being cocky, heroes," the villain shouted. "You talk all big about manliness; but my boys say that the age of you so called 'Good Guys' is crashing down in flames." He retracted his blades back into his body, allowing me to drop the shield for a moments rest. "That means the world will belong to people like me who live in the shadows, haha! Oh man, I'm such a crazy freaking high, right now. I think I might just take your advice and go bust up some heroes to save my friends!"

Time slowed down as twice as many blades sprung from his body, their sharp ends glinting under the alleyway lights as they aimed right at me. At Kirishima. Crap, what did I do? What could I do to help Kirishima? Where was Fat Gum? This was not what I'd expected to face on a debut, not at all. Shit. I couldn't do this? Who was I kidding? Where was Amajiki? Midoriya? Bakugou? Shoto? Anyone?

All for One was right: I wasn't ready for this; all this pressure, responsibility. I couldn't do this. I couldn't-

"...but I've learnt that you're not exactly one to give up so easily..."
