"It's happening," Midoriya said, his emerald green eyes falling back to his phone. The bags under his eyes seemed to dissappear for a moment, and I was struck by how determined he looked - at whatever-o'clock it was.

"They found Eri," I muttered, eyes scanning over my own extremely bright screen. "It seemed so long that we had to wait for anything; but now that's it happening, I realise we didn't have to wait long at all."

"Well, there were heaps of Pros and local heroes on the search," Kirishima said. "And with only ten lookouts to investigate, it wasn't gonna take them long at all. But I get what you mean. It felt like an eternity until just now."

"They say she's being kept in their stronghold," Ochaco noted, gulping. "At the Shie Hassaikai's headquarters."

Tsu let out a quiet ribbit. "That's not going to be easy to get into. I hope the Pros have a plan on how to get in."

"They do." We all turned to Midoriya wide-eyed, who had finally looked up from his phone. "They have plan. They wouldn't be calling us in if they didn't. Like Mr. Aizawa said: we'll be used minimally compared to the Big Three; which means that they wouldn't be putting us in if they didn't think we'd be safe. But obviously they think we will be, so maybe Sir is certain we'll succeed."

"Aw man," Kirishima said, fists clenching at his side - fortunately not crushing his phone. "I hate how we're being treated as kids. I hate being viewed as just a liability to them!"

"Keep it down, Kirishima," I muttered, switching off my phone and shoving it in my pyjama pockets. "I get what you mean, but you know that we're not ready for a full frontal battle, yet. Amajiki and the others have had way more experience than us and are basically gonna be Pros the moment they graduate. Besides, you heard what Fat Gum said at the meeting: you proved that you could hold your own at your debut fight in Eshua. They have faith in us, Kiri; but we cannot get too cocky."

My red-headed friend stared at me for a moment longer, unrelenting to give into reality, into the facts. But he eventually let out a sigh and his fists loosened by his sides, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them in a more calm state. "You're right, L/N. Let's just do what we can to assist the heroes and save Eri, okay?"

The rest of us nodded in unison, no other words needing to be said. We knew what we had to do; we knew the danger that awaited us today. But none of that mattered, because we were going to save Eri. Today.

"Come on, guys, we should get some more rest," I said, already making my way to the elevator. "I don't know about you guys, but I haven't slept a wink; and if we're to do anything today, we'll need all the strength we can get."

"Right."

It felt like I'd only just gotten back to my room and flopped on my bed that the sun was rising and my alarm was blaring. Seriously, what did I have to do to get some decent sleep around here? However, I'd gotten out of bed, put on my uniform and made my way down to breakfast with the others. I greeted Shoto, but that was about how far our conversation went.

I couldn't bring myself to to talk with him as I normally would of a morning. How could I, when I was swamped with so many thoughts and so much pressure that I felt like throwing my guts up? We were going to save Eri today. But what if we didn't? Oh goodness, what if we were too late or she wasn't at the headquarters like we thought?

"Y/N."

Shoto's soft call of my name startled me out of my stupor, looking up from my breakfast tray to face him. "Y-Yeah, Sho?"

His eyebrows furrowed together, his heterochromatic eyes boring into mine with the utmost care and concern shining in them. "You feeling okay? You haven't touched your breakfast at all. Just been staring t it for the past five minutes."
