Why Can't I Change

Taylor's POV
We get into her house and I just stand there "What are you doing? You have been here before why are you being so weird" Candace asks "I don't want to be a strain" I tell her honestly "You're not a strain. You're actually a big help, now I don't have to make dinner for just two people" Rona smiles and I smile back "Thank you guys so much" I say "Are you sleeping in my room?" Candace asks with pleading eyes "Whatever is easiest and works" I say not wanting them to have to take too much care of me "Sleep in my room tonight" Candace says "Hungry?" Rona asks, I shake my head no and go upstairs.
I sit down on her couch and sigh "I hate my life" I say to my self. I text Rainy and Autumn to tell them I'm staying with Candace. "Are you okay?" Candace asks shutting her door "I just left my house, my siblings and my family....I'm great" I tell her sarcastically "Oh Yea um that was a dumb question" Candace says sitting on the other side of the couch "I'm sorry, You're not the one I'm mad at" I say. I start thinking about everything that just happened and start crying my eyes out "Hey come here" Candace said sitting beside me and hugging me, I hug back and put my face in her neck "Thank you" I say quietly "Anything for you" She smiles which makes me smile.

I just got out the shower, I have a sports bra and shorts on "Hey" I say and Candace turns around, her eyes travel down my body "Like what you see?" I smirk "Uh huh" she smiles and wraps her arms around my neck, my arms instantly wrap around her waist "You look hot" She whispers "I'm aware" I whisper back and she laughs "I was trying to make a cute moment and you ruined it" she smiles "You're already cute so any moment with you is going to be cute" I tell her. She kisses my lips "You're hot too by the way" I say "I know" she smiles and I laugh. "When you were talking to Leon and Ari you said you would ask me out soon" Candace says "I did" I say agreeing with her "Well it's been a while" she tells me "It's been two days" I laugh "And besides who says I still want to ask you out" I say "Do you?" She asks sadly "Maybe" I tell her kissing her cheek "Girls dinner" Rona yells from downstairs.
We go downstairs to eat dinner "This is delicious" I tell Rona "Thank you, I'm glad you like it" She smiles at me. The whole dinner I've been teasing Candace and rubbing her thigh just to mess with her. Her face is now red and I think it's funny how fast she gets flustered. "Candace are you okay?" Rona asks "You're red" she adds "I'm fine" she says "We're going to uh go to bed" Candace says grabbing my hand "It's 8" Rona tells her "Yea but we're tired" Candace says pulling me "I'm not tired" I say to her "Yes you are" Candace says dragging me up the stairs.
"What was that about?" I ask as she throws me in her room, she shuts the door and pins me to the back of it, oh shit. "You teased me the whole time at dinner" She says "I don't know what your talking about" I smile "You know exactly what you did" she says "I do not" I say moving her to the side and sitting on her bed "I'm going to take a shower" She sighs "Want me to join?" I ask and she freezes "W-what?" She stutters "I'm just kidding Candace" I say laughing "Stop doing that!!" She says and shuts the bathroom door.
I'm texting Rainy and she keeps talking about little kids on Fortnite and how they keep killing her. I say she sucks at the game but she thinks she's good so I'll let her think that. I hear a thud in the bathroom "Hey Candace are you okay?" I ask, it's silent for a moment so I go up to the door "Candace?" I say again "Yea?" She says "Are you okay? I heard a thud" I say "I'm fine thank you" She tells me, I hear the water turn off and the shower door close "I'm coming in" I say "What no!!" She yells and I laugh hysterically "I'm just kidding, I'm not going to invade your privacy" I laugh going to sit back on the bed "Stop that!!!" She yells which makes me laugh more.

She finally gets out the bathroom "You're a bitch" she says "But you like me" I tell her "Sadly I do" she sighs and sits beside me "Sadly?! I'm amazing" I tell her offended "That you are" she smiles. It's silent for a moment "Want to go on a date after school tomorrow?" I ask, she smiles "Finally you ask. Yes I will love to" she says "You're adorable" I tell her climbing on top of her "And you're hot" she says. I start to lean down like I was going to kiss her neck but instead I start tickling her "Mother fucker" she screams while laughing. "Stop stop stop" she screams so I stopped "You're such an ass for that" she tells me "You're just mad because I didn't kiss your neck like you wanted me to" I laugh "Shut up" she pouts and I kiss her lips "I'm tired" I say and she agrees. We both get under the covers, I pull her body to mine by her waist "Good night" She says "Good night" I say and kiss her neck. I hear her lightly giggle. She's so fucking adorable.
