The next day, Delilah greeted everyone goodbye and went to Savannah's place to spend the rest of Christmas break with her and Scarlett. Although reluctant to stay in New York, Delilah decided to take a risk and spend the rest of break with the girls.

"I can't believe you decided to stay Lilah!!!" Scarlett was screaming when Delilah made it to Savannah's apartment.

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No!! You're staying."

Delilah laughed. "Well, as long as I am not dragged anywhere I don't want to be, I'll stay. And I really much rather prefer to just stay in here."

Scarlett scowled and grumbled, "You're such a bore."

Laughing, Delilah made her way up to put her things in the room she was staying in.

The next couple days, the three of them hang out and talked forever and on New Year's Eve, all the guys came over to celebrate at Savannah's place.

It was nearing midnight and they were all on Savannah's terrace where they could see the ball drop from afar. There were crowds of people on the streets. Delilah was in Jace's arms as they all counted down 3, 2, 1. And in that moment, Jace tipped her chin up and kissed her on the lips.

It was the perfect way to start the new year, but something was still on the back of Delilah's mind and it was bothering her. She had to tell him soon. She had to.

Later that day on New Year's day, Jace and Delilah headed over to his parents house once again to celebrate the New Year before they went back to school.

Delilah was excited to see everyone again. Wearing a fitting but loose dress, Delilah was all smiles as she looked at Jace beside of her who had his hand on her thigh and was rubbing circles on her skin.

"Is everyone going to be there."

"That's what my mom said."

"That's good, I'm exited to see everyone."

Jace chuckled and grabbed her hand to intwine with his. Lifting her hand up, he kissed her hand. "I don't know what I did to deserve you, you know."

Delilah smiled uneasily as she turned to towards the window. She had to tell him soon, but she didn't know how to. She didn't want to hurt him. She didn't want to do that to him, but she couldn't prolong it anymore....

When they finally made it to his parent's home, the two got out of the car and made their way inside. Once again, Delilah smiled as she walked in and heard the noise of loud children and everyone talking.

As the finally made it to the living room where everyone was standing and talking, Delilah's stomach dropped as she saw who was standing in the room. The anxiety ate away inside of her and Delilah's face paled. Her hand's were shaking and she couldn't hear a single word any one was saying as the hatred seeped out of her. Out of all places in New York, he had to be here, in the exact same place she was.

Delilah was reminded to why she never wanted to come to New York again. Why she should have never came. For the reason why was right in front of her.
