Hi, hello, I know it's been a month, I swear I haven't forgotten. I will never let domestic Bdoc die. I also know this is really short, I just wanted to get this prompt out of my head.

Wind brushed past Bdubs' face, sending a shiver down his spine. He rubbed his arms for warmth, glad he decided on the long-sleeve instead of the tee. "Kinda wish I grabbed that sweater," he laughed to himself as he walked down the street. Thankfully, he was almost home and could survive being outside for a couple more minutes. Smiling to himself as he began to wonder what Doc was going to make for dinner, he momentarily forgot about how chilly the air was.

-

Standing in front of his apartment door, he reached into his pocket for his keys.

He felt around his other jean pockets for his keys.

"Shoot," he realized, his smile disappearing. Leaning his forehead against the door, Bdubs took a deep breath. "My keys are still on the counter." The short brunette pulled out his phone but hesitated to call his boyfriend. I don't want to worry him. He thought as he slid down the wall, sitting next to his front door. Besides, I can wait a couple of hours, right? He pulled out his earbuds - shaking his head at the realization that he remembered these but not his keys - and put some music on.

-

The freckled boy shivered a little when he checked his phone.

A text from his roommate.

Doc: Get home okay?

Bdubs bit a fingernail, hesitating once more to tell the full truth.

Bdubs: Yup! See you soon :)

"If I tell him he'll leave work early, and I don't know if he'd get in trouble for that, so best be safe than sorry, right?" he reasoned with himself. Trying to suppress his doubts, he focused on his music and stared up at the cloudy sky. Despite the occasional shiver, he felt so calm.

And sleepy.

Before he knew it, the world around him became dark as his eyes closed. Hugging his knees, he dropped his head and drifted off to sleep.

-

"What would he want for dinner?" Doc mumbled to himself he left the office building. Normally he would have this planned out a day or two early, but this time he had pushed it off until the last minute. Opening his messages on his phone, he contemplated asking his boyfriend.

Although, something was... off.

Bdubs knew when he got off of work and always texted him something like, 'Can't wait to see you!' but the only message that greeted him was him saying he got home two and a half hours ago.

I'm sure I'm just overthinking this. He reassured himself, although he wasn't given any more time to think about it when his phone began to ring.

"What do you need, Etho?" He asked, answering the call.

"Listen, I know you just got off of work, but when if you could find the time later, could you double-check the email I sent you? It's about the project," his co-worker explained.

"Sure thing."

Hanging up, Doc started to climb the stairs to his apartment. He froze at the top and stared at the sleeping boy in front of him. "Dumbass," he muttered to himself, smiling. Unlocking the front door, he scooped his roommate up and brought him inside.

-

Bdubs stirred when he was picked up. Slowly blinking, he realized he was being carried, but he felt too tired and cold to say anything. Instead, he just leaned into his warm chest, bracing himself for the lecture that was bound to come. Doc sat on the couch, placing the small, shivering boy next to him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he sternly asked, throwing a blanket over his shoulders.

"I didn't want to make you worry," he mumbled, pulling the blanket.

"So you thought I wouldn't worry when I got home?"

"I'm sorry, ok?" Bdubs snapped, dropping the blanket as he stood up. "And if I did tell you? What would've you done? Come home early? I knew you couldn't do that!"

The tall roommate stood up and squeeze his boyfriend's hand. "Bdubs," he said softly.

"I didn't want you spending the rest of your workday worrying over me because of a stupid mistake." The tan male squeezed his hand back, before letting go so he could go take a hot shower.

The dark brunette watched the door close and just sat back down on the couch. What do I do now? He thought. Is there anything I can say to make him feel better? His phone lit up, reminding him he still had work things to address.

-

I'm going to apologize again. The freckled boy decided as he stepped out the shower and slipped into his pajamas. But when he opened the bathroom door, he momentarily forgot what he was thinking as he was smacked in the face by the smell of hot soup and tea. He walked around the couch and found Doc, typing away on his laptop while two bowls of soup and cups of green tea sat on the table in front of him. Sitting on the opposite side of the couch, Bdubs just stared at his boyfriend, unsure what to do.

"Finally done," the hybrid muttered to himself. He shut the laptop and placed it on the shelf under the coffee table in front of him. When he looked over to his roommate, the smaller boy jumped.

"Listen, I just want to apologize again. I should've- ack!" the short brunette started to apologize but was yanked into a tight hug.

"Thank you for being concerned for me, but please let me know if you get locked out next time," the tall brunette murmured. He wrapped the blanket around both of them and Bdubs grabbed their bowls.

"Okay." He smiled as he stirred his dinner, leaning his head against Doc.

-

"I can't believe you made me watch this, and it's not even October yet," the hybrid scoffed.

"It's still spooky season," Bdubs insisted, nuzzling his boyfriend's arm.

"Sure," he laughed.

Shifting so he could face his tiny boyfriend better, pushed his hair back. "I still need to shower," Doc realized.

"Nooo don't get up!" the freckled roommate whined, clinging to his arm. Chuckling, the tall brunette lifted his chin. The tan male loosened his grip as his heart began to race.

"You're really cute, I'll give you that," he murmured. "But, I need a shower!" Pulling away, he got up and whistled as he headed for the bathroom.

"You- I- Doc!" The shorter brunette stammered, trying to shout at him, his face heating up. Once the door clicked shut, he simply shook his head. "Stupid little- an' makin' me- annoying- dumb face- jerk," Bdubs muttered incoherent sentences to himself as he cleaned up the dishes.

I swear the next one will be longer. Domestic Bdoc is still cute, right?

Right?
