It is a beautiful evening, sunsetting in the fields of Marlinshire, colouring the sky and a cool breeze flowing through the meadows. A faint noise of a car engine can be heard in the distance, and grows louder and louder.
A green convertible car emerged from the bend, heading towards the landmark of the countryside, The Marlinspike hall.
Bright coloured leaves flew to the sides of the road as the car passes by.
The car enters the estate through large iron gates and make its way towards the main entrance, making the gravel rustle. It stops in front of the main doorway of the great mansion.
Multi coloured leaves flew in the chilling Autumn breeze.
The young driver turned off the engine, opens his door and out he came and his white fox terrier.
He inhaled the cold breeze and exhaled deeply.
'Ah! Feel it Snowy, the autumn breeze' he hummed closing his eyes.
The dog starts to sniff the air and looked back at his master as if to say he's enjoying it.
'Tintin is that you laddie?' A scruffy voice called out from a nearby window.
'Hello captain!' said the ginger haired boy in return.
With a 'click' the green main door was opened by a middle aged butler who gives the young man a warm smile.
'Good evening sir, I hope you had an enjoyable ride?' he asks as he nods in respect.
'Yes indeed, It's breathtaking!' Tintin said as he came inside while removing his dark brown leather hand gloves. Snowy trotted along with him.
'The master is in the drawing room upstairs sir, he is very busy reading about the big expedition' said Nestor the butler.
'An expedition? That's sounds like good news to me!' said Tintin as he quickly went upstairs.
As he entered the drawing room, a man with a full beard turned around.
'Ahh ..There you are, Come on in! Look what I found in the latest Paris Flash!'
The captain was reading the magazine and had a glass of whiskey in his hand.
'The sanders -hardimon team has gone in that thundering expedition again!' He said.
'Again? But how can they find anything interesting when the Incas are hiding it?' Tintin asked.
Captain handed over the magazine to Tintin.
'Here, read it and see for yourself'.
Tintin read it out loud.
'The sanders-Hardimon explorers strikes again
the seven remarkable explorers of the Sanders -Hardimon ethnographic expedition continued their expedition once more to uncover great findings hidden deep inside the mysterious cursed tomb of the ancient inca king "razcar capac" . The team is back in Europe, landing today in Liverpool , after an year of hiking the Peruvian mountains. Professor Sanders Hardimon says they found groundbreaking evidence of an highly advanced civilization...'
He stopped reading and thought about it for a moment.
'Well?' Captain waited for his response.
'They say it's evidence so they haven't met the Incas...and don't seem to be bothered about the Incan's curse anymore' Tintin wondered.
'So what do you think they are raving on about?' said captain haddock while pouring his favourite whiskey "loch lomond".
'I've no idea, we have to wait for more information to be released' Tintin said still looking at the article.
'I've had enough almost being a barbecue like a medieval witch! Those blundering visigoths! No more Peruvian balderdash for me' Captain sighed in relief.
He then pours more to another glass.
'You can't exactly blame them Captain, we were traitors in their eyes'
'So you're saying those maniacs did the right thing?' Captain raised an eyebrow at Tintin.
'No I didn't mean that, it's just the fact those people are stuck inside their kingdom their whole lives. Brainwashed...to be exact. We can't expect them to think rationally like we do' said Tintin.
'You're not wrong either...here' Captain handed the glass over to Tintin.
'Oh no thanks, not for me, you know that .' Tintin smiled.
'well then, we're not in the muddle this time. Here's to the expedition, cheers!' He took a sip.
Tintin chuckled. 'By the way where's professor?'
'He's fine ... spending the whole day long doing some kind of a math...' said captain sipping his whiskey.
Footsteps came from the hall .
'Speaking of Calculus here he comes now' captain Haddock pointed towards the doorway .
Just then professor Calculus came into the living room with "the daily reporter" in his hands.
'Captain! Tintin! My friend Hercule is on his famous expedition once again, he says that he will uncover more valuable things than the mummy this time!' He said enthusiastically.
'Very well! But don't you dare put any bangles in your arm again' Captain sipped the last whiskey drop in his glass.
'Oh not at all captain! He asked me to partner with him to research about the artifacts he found, and I agreed!' professor Calculus misheard as usual.
'PFGH!' Captain spat his whisky out. Tintin and Captain looked dumbfounded.
'WHAT? Billions of blue Blistering Barnacles in a thundering typhoon! Are you out of your mind?!Haven't you had enough being a roasted turkey infront of their thundering eyes?!' Captain spat out.
'Why, thank you captain! I'm quite impressed too. You can join my visits too. The Incan relics are pretty nice to see you know, magnificent!' said professor calculus calmly even though he didn't exactly hear what captain said.
He sat down on a red antique chair and began to read a book.
'Why you!' Captain started to bite his nails in anger.
'Come down captain, it won't be that bad. We'll have an eye on him this time' Tintin assured. 'Let's warm ourselves by the fire it'll cheer you up' He concluded.
Timeskip...
Moments later the clock strikes 7.
'Well, time for the evening news' tintin said got up from his channel to turn on the TV to watch the evening news broadcast.
The T.V. is the newest version of professor calculus's supercalcolor. which first show ended up giving spectators tears and terrible headaches. However the professor's theory successfully worked out and now it has become the latest TV model.
The first headline was about the 2nd sanders-hardimon expedition.
" The famous explorers of the sanders - hardimon expedition has risen up once again to find the spellbinding mysteries of 'Razcar Capac' and the Incas once more after the last expedition forced ended after a divine ''curse" that sent all 7 members into a deep coma for a few months following the mysterious disappearance of the mummified body of the ancient Inca king Razcar capac.
Professor Hercules Tarragon, a member of the expedition shared most recent information about the expedition."
"yes... We found interesting artifacts along with the king's possessions which could change the Incan history ... the most important finding's the ancient writings we found in a hidden chamber that explains some kind of technology that has not been discovered yet... We plan to continue our investigation of this technology along with my other professional friends.
Including (he clears his throat proudly) professor Calculus and also my own daughter (he straightens his tie while speaking) who is new to this field "
Professor Tarragon told the reporters delightly.
'Seems like it's going to be a breakthrough discovery isn't it?' Tintin asked captain with a hopeful smile who is sulking in his seat.
'Just hope they won't put themselves into danger again, thundering typhoons! Calculus be careful', captain turned his head to see calculus busy writing something down on the book.
Calculus didn't hear anything about their conversation nor the TV.
'Lets just hope for the best captain' Tintin sighed.
'yes, that's all we can~'
'EUREKA!!..I FOUND IT! ...I FOUND IT !' Calculus jumped up from his seat and ran out of the living room whooping with joy, surprising Captain and Tintin.
'Blistering eardrums! His brains gone radioactive! ' captain exclaimed as he faced tintin with a puzzled expression.
