Y/n's POV:
I was at home, patiently waiting for my boyfriend to appear on our TV screen.
He told me a few days prior he would be doing a live interview and he had requested me to watch it.
Excitedly, I agreed. I would've watched the interview either way, but Kit asking me to made it somehow special to me.
*flashback*
He appeared to be a lot more nervous about this interview than the ones he had done before, something I could understand because of the way his fanbase had grown so rapidly, so basically all he did was watched an commented.
He had woken up earlier than usual, accidentally waking me up in the process too. After a quick shower, he came back in, already dressed in a black pair of dress pants paired with a white button off.
"How do I look?" He excitedly turns, so I can admire his outfit from all sides, grinning like a child. "You look beautiful." Is all I can say in that moment, my eyes not leaving him.
"You know, you can take a picture to look at while I'm gone." I can't help but blush because of his comment and the smirk of satisfaction on his face. "Well, I might just do that." Before he can reply with another comment I take my phone and snap a few pictures of him, which he kindly poses for. After I take my phone back down, I look at the clock, laughing. "I think you have to go now." I nod towards the clock, which he too looks at.
Shortly after my comment, he leaves the apartment to drive to the studio, but not before kissing me goodbye.

Now, nearly an hour after that situation, I am impatiently awaiting the interview. That's when the talkshow host finally announces Joe and Kit, making me grin like an idiot.
After some more talking done by the host, Kit and Joe finally walk in together, and I let out a squeal of excitement. This was my boyfriend there and he was doing such a great job and he was able to pursue his dream.
Most of the interview goes smoothly, somewhat like in a routine. The host has prepared questions the fans ask online, quite similar to the ones they've already answered in previous interviews. That is when the host starts talking about their private lives: family, friends, relationship; something that was well expected from all parties involved.
Kit's and my relationship was not a secret, we just liked to keep it private. His goal was to keep me safe from any possible hate people, who called themselves "fans", could send me and I was never really interested in all the attention that would come with it.
I snap out of my trance when I hear my boyfriend's name dropped in the conversation. "... and what about you, Kit? Are you and Y/n still going strong?" He laughs, the cameras focusing on Kit's face, who just politely smiles before answering the host's question.
"Yes, we are. As strong as ever. She's actually at home right now, watching this." He explains to everyone, and even though no one is able to see me or my reaction, I feel the blush covering my cheeks.
"Well, let's say hello to her, then." The host cheerfully tells the people watching from the studio, who kindly wave at the cameras before they turn back to the host, who continues with his interviewing.
When I notice he's going to be talking for a bit longer, I take out my phone, opening my chat with Kit.
Y/n: Kit that was honestly soo embarrassing 😭
I shut off my phone merely seconds after the message, continuing to watch the interview. It comes to an end too fast for my taste, but that means he'll be home sooner, which is definitely a pro argument.
I'm on my laptop for most of the following hour, typing away on some essays due this week. When I hear the sound of our door opening, I stay seated and continue finishing my last paragraph for an English essay.
"I'm home!" Kit's voice echos through our for the most part silent apartment, a sound that I've grown to love. "Hey." I simply greet, finishing the English essay in a record worthy time. " 'M in the living room." I inform him, sending in my English assignment as one of the first people.
"How'd you like it?" Kit shrugs off the jacket he had put on, taking a few steps towards me. "The interview." He adds, as if it would've been too hard to figure out.
I look up from my laptop, smiling at the excited man in front of me. "I really loved it, although I found the bit about me quite embarrassing." I admit, laughing it off.
"Really? I was gonna talk to you about that actually." All the happiness from seconds ago turned into awkwardness, which he couldn't hide from me very well. He shifts in his seat, so that we are both facing each other.
"Whenever you're ready." I try to ease some of the tension by laughing again, closing my attention, so he knows my full attention is directed towards him.
"I thought that maybe we could, you know, start being more open about our relationship to the public. But only if you want that, I really don't want to pressure you into anything." He explains, ranting about how we should just forget this happened.
"You could've just told me and don't worry, darling. It does seem like the right time." I admit, causing him to let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god." He laughs, hugging me.
"Then it's okay if I do this?" He doesn't elaborate any further, but I soon enough get a notification from Instagram.
