Morning with Yoongi
Yoongi walked into Jimin's room, dressed and ready for work. But the room was empty. He sighed quietly, assuming Jimin had gone downstairs.
As he reached the living room, he spotted Jimin near the door, packing his bag silently. Beside him stood Hyunwoo, looking desperate and broken. He was pleading with his son, who refused to even meet his eyes.
"Baby, please listen... Appa is sorry. We're all sorry, baby. Just... just look at me. Chim, please, Appa is sorry" Hyunwoo said, his voice trembling as he stepped closer. "See, Appa even brought all your favorite snacks... please?" Showing him the brought snacks.
Jimin finally looked at him, his eyes red and swollen. "If you're really sorry..." his voice cracked, "then leave the mafia."
Hyunwoo stood frozen, completely lost for words.
"You won't, will you?" Jimin's voice was now cold and cutting, a painful contrast to his trembling hands. "You will never do that. None of you ever will. No one ever listens to me or Tae. You all just do what you want...what you think is right."
Hyunwoo's lips parted, but no sound came out.
"So don't talk about your care and love on me when you can't even listen," Jimin snapped, wiping his tears harshly, even as more flowed freely down his cheeks.
"Jimin-ah, please... we didn't mean to hurt you," Hyunwoo tried again, stepping closer.
Jimin took a step back.
Yoongi, who had been quietly watching from the side, couldn't stay silent anymore. He walked up and softly touched Jimin's shoulder. "Jimin-ah... baby, don't cry. Please..."
Jimin turned to look at Yoongi and the look in his eyes was angry. It wasn't just anger. It was betrayal. Deep, aching betrayal.
"We're sorry," Yoongi said, voice cracking slightly. "I'm sorry... Please, don't cry."
But Jimin just stood there-silent, trembling, and shattered.
"Why?"
Jimin's voice trembled as he stared at Yoongi and Hyunwoo, his chest heaving, eyes glossy with unshed tears.
"Why are you still in the mafia? Why?" he asked, voice cracking as his pain broke through. "After everything... why are you still in it?"
Yoongi and Hyunwoo exchanged a heavy look, both of them sighing, defeated.
"Jimin-ah..." Hyunwoo began gently, but Jimin raised his hand to stop him.
"No...don't. Whatever your reason is, just tell me why you had to lie to us. Why did you keep it hidden?" Jimin's voice broke, his body trembling as tears started rolling down his cheeks. "Even after... after aunt died... after Suho hyungie left us. How could you...?"
He couldn't finish. His knees gave out slightly as he broke into a sob, covering his face with trembling hands.
Hyunwoo turned away, blinking rapidly to keep his own tears from falling. Yoongi stepped forward quietly, wrapping his arms around Jimin from behind.
Jimin tried to push him away weakly. "Don't... don't touch me. You lied to me, hyung..."
But Yoongi only held him tighter, gently cradling him. "Hyungie is sorry, Chim," he whispered, his voice trembling as he stroked Jimin's hair.
"You're so annoying... You liar..." Jimin mumbled between sobs, weakly punching Yoongi's chest with small, shaky fists.
"Nae... I am. I'm sorry, baby. I really am," Yoongi said softly, holding back his own tears as he hugged his little brother.
They stood like that for a long moment, the silence filled only with Jimin's muffled crying. Then Yoongi spoke again.
"Chim, we have reasons. Deep ones. I promise... when the time is right, you'll know everything. We won't hide it forever."
Jimin pulled back from the hug, wiping his tears with the back of his hand.
"What reason could ever justify risking your lives?" he asked, voice hollow. "Are you not scared of losing someone again? Bur I am..."
He looked up at both of them, broken, fragile.
"I lost Mom when I was just five. Then Yoona imo... then Aunt. Suho hyung left us without a word. Even Jin hyung... saw what death looks like that night. And still, none of you are leaving that world? Why? Why are you all so willing to throw yourselves into danger?"
His voice cracked again as his knees shook. "I was terrified when those men attacked you, Appa... out of nowhere. I... I can't lose any more of you. I won't survive it..." He said while looking at Hyunwoo.
His voice gave way to a sob. Hyunwoo rushed to him and pulled him into a firm hug. Jimin collapsed against his father's chest, clinging to him like a child. Meanwhile yoongi just stood there. Thinking about jimin's words while tears were threatening to call.
"I'm sorry, baby... Appa is here," Hyunwoo whispered, tears now slipping from his eyes too. He held Jimin tightly, running a gentle hand through his hair. "Nothing will happen to us. I swear. We're all here. And we're not going anywhere. You're not alone."
"Really?" Jimin whispered through his hiccups.
"Nae, really. Stop crying, hmm? Please, baby..." Hyunwoo said softly, pulling back to wipe Jimin's tears with his thumbs. "We'll tell you everything when the time is right. For now, just trust us a little longer."
Jimin gave a small nod.
He turned to Yoongi, who had been silent, looking at the floor. "Hyungie," Jimin called softly.
Yoongi finally looked up, startled. His eyes were red.
"I'm sorry, Chim..." he whispered and walked over, hugging Jimin tightly once again. "I yelled at you so badly yesterday. I hurted you. I'm so, so sorry, baby."
Jimin sniffled and nodded. "Nae... you're really bad. I hate you, grandpa."
Yoongi let out a soft huff and suddenly started tickling him. "Yah! What did you say? Grandpa?"
Jimin burst out laughing through his tears, trying to wriggle away. "S-stop! Hyung! You're the worst!"
The room slowly filled with the sound of Jimin's laughter-soft, broken, but genuine. And it was the most comforting sound Hyunwoo had heard in days.
He smiled faintly, eyes still wet. But deep inside, a heavy shadow lingered.
"I don't know how you'll all react when you find out the truth about Jungkook's past... about Suho hyung's death... and Hyesuk's murder..." Hyunwoo thought, clenching his jaw as he looked at his son and Yoongi. "But I know that day is coming. And it's going to break you."
With Haein
She entered the building, her presence demanding attention. All the workers were in awe as they saw the CEO of QUEENS herselF steped inside. Whispers filled the air as they speculated she must be there for an important meeting. One by one, they bowed in respect as she passed.
Haein gave a slight nod in return and spotted Namjoon waiting nearby.
"Noona, this way," Namjoon said, stepping forward to guide her.
She followed him silently, taking a moment to observe the building. Everything was clean, polished, and luxurious. Soon, they reached a large cabin, nearly identical in size and luxury to Jin's.
"Thanks for preparing this," Haein said with a faint smile, looking around.
"It's our duty, noona. By the way, hyung will be here in a few minutes. I'll call you once the meeting starts," Namjoon replied.
"Hmm, until then, I'll catch up on some work," she said, settling herself behind the desk.
Namjoon nodded. "Feel free to take a look around the building if you'd like. And do you wante to appoint you an assistant?" Namjoon asked
Haein shook her head and said "No need of appointing assistant. I already have my assistant. He will be coming here from tomorrow." Haein said
Namjoon nodded and said , "Nae noona. Once hyung arrives, we'll introduce you formally to the entire staff. He went to drop Jungkook at his university. He also wanted to speak with the principal about his security arrangements and other formalities."
Haein's expression shifted instantly, concern flashing in her eyes. "Why is Jungkook going to school today? Did he even recover properly?"
"Well... Jungkook insisted. He said he was getting bored and needed something to focus on." Namjoon said
Haein sighed and muttered under her breath, "Of course. He doesn't listen to anyone anyway."
Namjoon blinked, a little caught off guard but smiled lightly. "Alright then, I'll leave you for now, noona. Take care and feel free to look around the office"
He gave a polite nod before walking out, leaving Haein staring out the window, her mind already tangled in a web of worry. She sighed and got back to work

Days passed. It had been over a week.
Not everything was okay. In fact, almost nothing was.
Taehyung was still ignoring Jin completely, and Jin... he was trying with all his might to fix things, to earn forgiveness. It was their first real fight, the kind that lingered painfully.
They have fought before, but never like this. Never for more than a couple of days. A full week of silence from Taehyung was unbearable.
Taehyung refused to speak to anyone except Jimin and Jungkook. Even Jimin had tried to convince tae, gently urging Tae to forgive Jin... but nothing worked.
Tae would come home, eat quietly, focus on his work, talk a little with Jungkook, and completely avoid Jin like he didn't exist.
Jin was breaking apart slowly, though he didn't show it on the surface. He buried himself in work-alongside Yoongi, Hobi, Namjoon, and Haein. Long hours passed in the office, filled with silent tension.
Haein noticed Jin's stress. She watched his every movement and how he forced himself to focus, but the sadness was clearly visible in his eyes.
She didn't say anything. She simply returned to her own work.
She had begun to understand that the Kim brothers weren't as monstrous as she'd first assumed. They did care for Jungkook. Genuinely. She could see it in their actions, their quiet sacrifices.
But even with that realization, she couldn't let go of her anger toward Jin. Something inside her burned with the thought, How could he have left Jungkook with that monster? Maybe she didn't even fully understand the depth of her rage-but it was there, heavy and persistent.
And then there was Jungkook...
Still the same-quiet, cold, detached. A ghost among the living.
Every morning, he woke up with a jolt as usual... his body drenched in sweat, his chest rising rapidly. Nightmares had become frequent again. And lately, they were worse. More vivid. More chaotic. Strange flashes he couldn't understand... faces, screams, blood... images that felt real but made no sense.
He never spoke of them.
He would wake, eat in silence, give one-word answers to Taehyung and Jin, and then head to university. There, too, he drifted like a shadow. He'd attend classes, keep his head down, lie quietly on the desk during breaks while others laughed and shared stories.
Sometimes his eyes would flicker toward Eunwoo... just brief eye contact before he'd look away again.
And then he'd come home. Mostly with Taehyung.
He sensed the tension. Taehyung was quieter than usual. Jungkook could feel something was off between Tae and Jin, though neither of them said anything to him. He wasn't stupid-he knew they had fought. But he stayed silent, choosing not to meddle.
Nights were always the same. Homework. Dinner with Jin and Tae in awkward silence. Studying for hours, endless scrolling through his phone, and then sleep... or at least, an attempt at it.
Midnights were haunted. Dreams would come and steal his rest, leaving him tired, anxious, and unsure. He didn't understand what they meant or where they came from. But they scared him.
And yeah though Jungkook was insisted to eat on time, no one insisted him to take his medicines which he skipped regularly. No knew about that. He jus took painkillers, sleeping pills, and sometimes benzodiazepines.
And through all this, no one truly noticed how deeply isolated Jungkook remained. Or perhaps they did-but didn't know how to reach him.
As for Kim...
He remained the same, cold, composed, and intimidating as ever. His control over everything was precise.
He went on a business trip again-alone this time, having told Hyunwoo to stay back and manage things here. He didn't say much about it. No one dared question him anyway.
Everything looked fine on the surface.
But beneath it all-broken bonds, hidden truths, and unspoken pain threatened to break through at any moment.

With Taehyung, at the study room
Taehyung sat infront Jimin, his laptop open, fingers moving steadily over the keys. A half-finished coffee sat beside him. His expression was unreadable-calm, focused, detached.
Jimin, on the other hand, was growing restless. He slammed his book shut and glared at Taehyung.
"Yah! You moron-say something already!" Jimin burst out, frustrated at the silence.
Taehyung barely looked up. "If you're asking me to talk to hyungs... then I can't," he replied flatly.
"Taehyung..." Jimin's voice softened, "Please. Jin hyung-he's really sad these days. Can't you just give him a chance? Appa and Yoongi hyung already said they'll tell us the reason when it's time. Just trust them."
Taehyung's jaw clenched.
"And when will that time come?" he asked, locking eyes with Jimin. "After one more person dies?"
His voice was low-sharp and bitter.
Jimin's eyes widened. "Yahhh! Don't say that!" he snapped, hurt flashing in his voice.
Taehyung sighed heavily and leaned back in his chair. "Ahh, whatever. I need to finish this. Just... leave me alone, Jimin," he said, eyes returning to the screen, forcing focus.
Jimin stared at him for a long second before pushing back his chair. "Fine. But I swear-you're going to regret treating Jin hyung like this," he muttered, grabbing his bag and storming out.
Now alone, Taehyung just sat there, staring blankly at his laptop screen. His fingers didn't move. His coffee had gone cold.
And the weight in his chest only grew heavier.
After a long pause, he slowly closed the laptop. He reached for his phone. The lock screen lit up-a photo of him and Jin. The two were smiling brightly, arms slung over each other's shoulders like they had the world.
A shaky breath left his lips.
Then a tear slipped down his cheek. Then another. And another.
He clutched the phone and lowered his head, letting the silent cries take over. His body trembled as he sobbed quietly-hidden from the world in a corner of the library.
Only he knew how hard it truly was.
How much he missed Jin these days.
How deeply he hurt.
And how afraid he was that things would never go back to the way they used to be.
