On One Random Night

Jungkook zipped up his black leather jacket and ran a hand through his fluffy hair. He grabbed his bag and packed it quickly, placing his laptop, a compact drone, cameras, and a few important files inside. Once done, he slung the bag over his shoulder and looked at the locked door with a smirk.

"Not today," he muttered, turning to the balcony instead.

With practiced skills, Jungkook leapt over the railing and got down using a sturdy rope. Once he landed quietly on the ground, he coiled the rope back and stuffed it into his bag.

He peeked around the side of the mansion and spotted two guards stationed at the front. "Ughhhhh fuck, these guys are here again?" he cursed under his breath. Keeping low, he crept near the compound wall, his steps light and silent. The guards were too busy chatting with each other to notice him.

Jungkook smirked. With a swift motion, he climbed the wall in one graceful jump and landed soundlessly on the other side. "Smooth," he whispered, grinning to himself in victory.

He brushed the dust off his sleeves and started walking away from the mansion, muttering to himself, "Huff... who the hell asked them to build a mansion this massive? Damn. The backyard itself is big enough to host a football match."

Groaning, he finally spotted his motorcycle parked just beyond the gates. "Ahhh, finally!" he grinned, quickly hopping on and strapping on his helmet. The engine roared to life.

"It's gonna be fun tonight," he said to himself, and zoomed off into the empty road.

Not long after, he noticed another bike speeding behind him. Jungkook smirked. "Yah! Wanna race?" he yelled, speeding up.

"Sure, moron! the loser should treat the other" a voice shouted back. It was none other than Eunwoo. "Sure moran" Jungkook yelled back.

The two raced side by side on the silent road, wind howling past them, their bikes cutting through the night like bullets. "Woohoo! I'm gonna win!" Jungkook yelled joyfully.

"Let’s see about that, idiot!" Eunwoo shouted, revving up to match Jungkook’s speed.

They raced like maniacs, weaving along the road until they skidded to a stop in perfect sync. "I won" eunwoo said while removing his helmet and ruffling his hair, Jungkook rolled his eyes after removing his helmet too.

In front of them stood a large, luxurious, heavily guarded building, it was the Government's headquarters. Guards armed with rifles patrolled every corner.

Their grins faded into serious expressions. It was time for the real mission to begin. The both went beside the walls of the headquarter.

Jungkook crouched behind the wall, opened his bag, and pulled out his compact drone, while eunwoo took out his small drones and tab and placed it near jungkook. Without even looking, he tossed it toward Eunwoo, who caught it effortlessly with one hand.

"Look around and position it," Jungkook said, already flipping open his laptop. The green-lit screen blinked to life as his fingers danced across the keyboard, preparing the surveillance feed.

Eunwoo switched on the drone, the small rotors humming quietly to life. “Starting now,” he said, his voice steady as he guided the drone high above the heavily guarded headquarters.

The drone zoomed quietly above the building, and the camera began clicking shots in rapid succession. “Yah, look,” Eunwoo muttered, squinting at the screen. “They’re there. Hyun Kwon and his assistant.”

Jungkook leaned over to look. "Capture it. Zoom in on their faces. We’ll need clear shots," he said before rummaging through his pouch. He pulled out a device that looked like a tiny mechanical bug. It fluttered in his hand, it was lightweight, and almost lyk a real insect.

"This’ll help," Jungkook muttered, smirking. He synced the insect-like drone to his laptop and gently launched it into the air. It buzzed softly and zipped toward the building like any other harmless bug. Not one guard found it.

"Woah, they’ve got some serious security down there," Jungkook whispered as the bug-drone evaded a motion sensor just in time.

Eunwoo scanned the building layout on his tablet. “Hiss cabin is on the seventh floor. That’s where they’ll be talking. Get it up there. Place it somewhere discreet.”

Jungkook nodded, focused. "There’s a ventilation slit just above the corner bookshelf. I see a gap, wait..." He made the tiny drone to go through the tight space. "Got it."

The moment it settled into place, he tapped his screen. A small beep confirmed the mic was active.

He synced the audio feed to both his and Eunwoo’s earpieces. Static hissed for a second, then they heard the voices.

Hyun Kwon’s deep voice came. "We need to move on Black Swan (KIm's mafia gang). Kim is back. If we don’t act now, we’re fucked up. Things won’t go as smoothly as before."

Shin Min-young, his assistant, spoke next. "Yes, sir. We’re already preparing. In two weeks, she arrives, everything will begin."

Jungkook and Eunwoo exchanged glances.

"Who’s 'she'?" Eunwoo mouthed silently. Jungkook shrugged, signaling him to keep listening.

Hyun Kwon continued, now sounding more cautious. "Jeon Seon-ah... we can't trust her completely. She plays too many sides. Watch her closely. Set the meeting for tomorrow. No more delays."

Meanwhile, the tiny drone above Hyun Kwon's bookshelf remained undetected, its lens glowing faintly as it recorded every second.

“Let’s wrap this up,” Jungkook finally said. “We’ve got what we need.” he said whle taking the drone controller near eunwoo.

“Hmm. Downloading all footage now.” eunwoo said as he quickly did the things

They worked in sync, fast, focused. They were just doing their work nothing else.

"Take it back," Eunwoo said.
Jungkook hummed in response and made the drone return to them.

“Jeon Seon-ah... isn’t she the chairwoman of Minbo Groups?” Eunwoo asked.

“I don’t know. Ugh, this Korea is really pissing me off lately. Anyway, let’s dig up some leads on Jeon Seon-ah,” Jungkook replied, frustration in his voice.

They packed up their things quickly and left the area, heading back to the small café where they had parked their bikes. Without saying a word, Eunwoo walked straight to the counter.

“Ahjumma, can I get one chocolate milk?” Eunwoo asked politely.
“Nae,” the woman nodded, handing it over.

Meanwhile, Jungkook stood off to the side, watching him with a deadpan expression. Eunwoo smiled at the lady and said, “Thanks a lot,” while paying, then returned to their table.

“Yah, is this really the time to drink your shake, huh?” Jungkook asked, raising an eyebrow.

“When your appa makes me work overnight, can’t I at least have a shake?” Eunwoo said bitterly, sipping through the straw.

Jungkook sighed deeply. “I’m leaving,” he muttered, turning to go.

But Eunwoo stopped him. “Do your hyungs know where you are right now?” he asked.

Jungkook shot him a glare. “So you sneaked out. Nice job,” Eunwoo said with a sarcastic smile.

“It’s none of your fucking business,” Jungkook snapped and walked away furiously.

He rode his bike alone through the quiet, dark roads, speeding as though trying to hide his thoughts. Once he reached the mansion, he parked his bike silently and got back into his room just like he had earlier that night.

Tossing his bag and jacket onto the chair, he collapsed onto the bed with a heavy sigh. His tired eyes slowly closed, and sleep finally took over his exhausted body.

With Jin

"Hyung, is Uncle also joining us?" Yoongi asked, placing the file in front of Jin on his desk.

"No, he's not coming. Just us three," Jin replied, indicating that only he, Haein, and Yoongi would be attending the meeting.

Yoongi nodded. "Noona went for an interview."

Jin hummed in response, then added, "Yoongi, arrange the meeting at BTS Headquarters for today."

Yoongi nodded and left the room.

Jin sighed, stood up, and put on his coat. He headed toward the workers’ floor. He noticed some employees were talking and laughing, while others were deeply focused on their work.

“Guys!!” Jin called out, clapping his hands. All the workers immediately stood up and bowed to him. He gestured for them to sit down with a warm smile.

Jin was the kind of CEO who always wore a genuine smile on his face.

“Everyone’s getting tired of work, huh?” he asked, smiling. The employees stared at him in confusion.

“I know it’s hard to sit in one place and work non-stop. But still, you have to push through, right? You can chat and laugh during your breaks. Now, it is the time to focus on work, got it?” Jin said, his smile still present but his tone firm.

This was CEO Jin, cool, kind, but strict when needed. He truly cared for his workers.

Just then, Yoongi walked in and handed a coffee cup to Jin.

“If you slack off, this kitten here might eat you all alive. So, be aware and get to work,” Jin joked, pointing at Yoongi.

“Ahh, hyung!” Yoongi growled in protest.

Jin laughed, and the workers joined in with soft chuckles.

Jin and Yoongi then walked out of the floor, making their way through the big building, discussing work.

Yoongi was explaining the details of the next project. Jin seemed to be listening… until he saw Haein approaching from the opposite direction, speaking to her assistants.

Jin’s eyes were immediately drawn to her. She wore a crisp white suit, her hair falling in soft waves to her chest. She was breathtaking.

Jin continued walking beside Yoongi, but his eyes never left Haein. He was completely mesmerized.

Poor Yoongi, still explaining everything enthusiastically, didn’t realize Jin hadn’t heard a single word.

Finally, Yoongi noticed and followed Jin’s gaze.

He turned to look at Haein, then back at Jin, who was still staring at her like he was in a trance.

Yoongi smirked and suddenly moved in front of Jin, striking a flower pose. Jin finally snapped out of his admiring daze and blinked, seeing Yoongi’s goofy expression.

“Ahhh, mwo?” Jin whined, clearly flustered.

“Ani, I... I thought you’d admire me too,” Yoongi said with an pout.

Jin lightly punched Yoongi in the stomach. “Yah! Why should I admire you, huh?”

Yoongi rubbed the spot dramatically. “Hahhh... poor me,” he sighed, shaking his head, being dramatic.

Jin gave him a deadpan look before wrapping an arm around Yoongi’s neck in a playful headlock. “You really have a death wish, don’t you?”

“Ahh… ahh! Hyung! Wahh, hyung, leave me! Ahh” Yoongi yelped, tapping Jin’s arm rapidly.

Just then, they saw Haein dismissing her assistants and walking towards them.

“Yah! What are you both doing here?” Haein asked, seeing their chaotic things.

Jin immediately let go of Yoongi and smiled sheepishly. “Nothing... just pampering him,” he said with an innocent grin.

Yoongi gave him a look of betrayal. “Yah, hyung! You were literally choking me bef--”

He stopped mid-sentence when Jin turned to him with a dangerously sweet tone, “What did you say, Yoongs?”

Yoongi quickly turned to Haein. “Ahh, noona! You came at the right time. Come on, I’ll brief you about the meeting,” he said, grabbing Haein’s arm and dragging her away from Jin. Haein was confused but nodded and went with yoongi.

Jin gave him a “you’re dead” look while Yoongi just chuckled and started explaining the meeting details to Haein.

Jin stayed behind, leaning against the wall. He clutched his chest dramatically.

“Why is this beating like crazy??” he mumbled, then lightly slapped his own cheek. “Yah, you moron... why did you look at her like that, huh?” he muttered to himself, completely flustered.

Before he could say anything else, he heard Yoongi yell from down the hall,

“Hyung! To the meeting room! Everyone’s here already!”

Jin quickly straightened up and rushed toward the meeting room, his heart still racing for reasons he didn’t want to admit.

In the meeting room

Workers from Germany, Italy, Russia, Japan, and the USA were here, Bangtan had its branches in all these countries. In fact, Bangtan was well, established all over the world.

As soon as Jin, Haein, and Yoongi entered the meeting hall, the attendees stood up and bowed to them respectfully. Jin, Haein, and Yoongi returned the gesture with polite nods and bows.

“It’s nice to meet you all,” Jin said with a warm smile, gesturing for everyone to sit. They all took their seats, and the meeting officially began.

One of the international delegates from the German branch spoke first, “We’ve seen a 12% increase in revenue this quarter, largely due to the expansion into tech development.”

Yoongi nodded, glancing at the reports. “That aligns with our projections. Let’s focus on pushing the AI sector next.”

A delegate from Japan chimed in, “There’s been talk about competition from the Park Corporation. Are we proceeding with the counterstrategies?”

Haein answered calmly, “Yes. We’re keeping a close eye on their moves. We’ve already restructured our legal and PR teams to stay ahead.”

Jin leaned forward and added, “We won’t just stay ahead, we’ll lead. Let’s keep our progress strong in each branch and work as one team.”

The meeting continued for hours…

With Jungkook

He was in class, listening quietly. It was a Korean literature class, and Jungkook understood absolutely nothing the teacher was writing on the board.

The teacher turned around and said, “Copy these down, and you all must do an assignment on this topic.”

Jungkook mentally slapped himself. “For god’s sake, can’t he give the assignment later? I don’t fucking understand a thing,” he thought, sighing in frustration.

His attention shifted when the teacher started yelling at Eunwoo.

“Yah! Park Eunwoo, always sleeping in my class! I don’t even know how the hell you score in exams without paying attention. You literally come to university to sleep!” the teacher scolded harshly.

“Nae, nae, sorry sir,” Eunwoo said while bowing several times. Jungkook noticed the tired face of eunwoo.

Jungkook clenched his fists under the table, not at Eunwoo, not even at the teacher, but at Kim. If Kim hadn’t dragged Eunwoo into the mafia and made him work at night, he wouldn’t be getting scolded like this in class.

Jungkook was exhausted himself, having not slept the night before either.

Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of the class. Eunwoo let out a deep sigh of relief. The teacher left the room, and students began packing up and leaving.

Jungkook packed his books into his bag and walked out of class. He stood by the front gate, waiting for Taehyung to pick him up like he’d promised.

Just then, he got a text, it was from tae. “Kook, I’m sorry. I have extra classes. I called the driver, he’s on the way.”

Jungkook sighed, his fingers pausing mid-reply when he saw Eunwoo and Chaeyoung approaching.

“What do you want?” Jungkook asked flatly.

Eunwoo smirked and said, “You forgot the bet, didn’t you? Buy us food. You lost.”
