DEMI'S P.O.V.: I woke up with a weak cry. The sky was still dark outside, it was 4 a.m. and our first day together.
"Rosie, hello baby, don't cry...I'm here with you." I picked her up from the cradle and hugged her to my chest as she started to calm down. "Shh, that's right princess, you don't need to cry."
I sat in bed with her on my chest, her eyes widely open and kissed her forehead.
"Do you want a bottle of milk?" She glanced at me and I nodded with a smile. "You do. Just give me five minutes to take a shower and I'll feed you."
I stood up, put her in the stroller and took her with me to the bathroom. I took a quick shower while she was beside the bath babbling. Never in a million years I woul've imagined doing something like it, let alone with Joe and Sophie's child.
"I finished baby." After taking her with me, I got dressed, fed her a bottle of milk, gave her a warm bath and got us both ready to leave the hotel we were staying in. "Let's call our safe drive." I smiled and dialed my bodyguard Max. "Hi Max, it's 5 a.m. already, you can pick us up whenever you want to, we're ready to go to work."
"Okay, I'll pick you up in 5 minutes, wait for me on the underground parking lot please."
"Fine, we'll go there now, see you."
"See you." He hang up on me and I grabbed Rosie's bag, put it on the back of her stroller and took the elevator to the underground parking lot. It was empty. Rosie was staring at me with bright eyes and a small smile.
"You're the cutest, for real. I hope you daddy is having a good time."
While waiting for Max to pick us up, all I could ever do was think of Joe. was he okay without Rosie? All I wanted was for him to be okay, to be the Joe we all knew. I sighed as I thought of how happy he was always with Sophie, I never in my life saw him happier than with her.
She completed him, no, it was like they both were complete but made each other a better version of themselves, I don't know how to explain it cause I never had a love lioe that. I've always been a half to complete and that's why I always get a broken heart with any relationship I have.
"Demi, hi, and hi baby..." Max started and I chuckled.
"Rosie." He nodded and helped us get into the car.
"What time are you finishing with work today?" I bit my lip and looked at my phone to check the info.
"6 pm."
"Who will look after her whioe you work?" I shrugged.
"I will. I'm pretty sure I told the director about me having a baby with me and that I would need a babysitter just to make sure Rosie is okay all the time." He smiled and I frowned. "What?"
"You'll be such a protective mom one day, I'm proud of you for taking this responsability by the way." I smiled and nodded looking at Rosie.
"Thanks. Joe's obviously a very important person to me so I think there's nothing I wouldn't do to help him. And Rosie is a sweetheart and I'm so in love with her."
"It shows."
A few minutes later we arrived to the studio and I entered with Rosie to it. There was some people already rehearsing or doing their make up and hair. I looked around looking for the director and found her when she smiled big at me.
"Demi! It's a pleasure to have you here, finally." She was english.
"Hi, same here!" She immediately glanced down at Rosie.
"Oh, is she your daughter? I had no idea you were a mom." I chuckled nervously and shook my head.
"She's not my daughter, well she's my heart daughter...one of my best friends is her dad, he's currently unavailable to take care of her for personal reasons and that's why I'm doing it for him."
"Oh, sorry then. What's her name?"
"Uh, she's Rosie." I put the seat on the floor and picked her up in my arms.
"Look at those eyes, this baby has an angel face...I bet she's gonna be in the bussiness." I nodded slightly and bit my lip.
"Probably, her parents acted so...maybe is a blood thing."
"She's gorgeous. But anyways, we have some work to do right now...do you mind if I take her with her babysitter so we can do your make up and hair?" I gulped.
"Can the babysitter stay with us through the process? I don't wanna be away from her...today is the first day, you know." She smiled swestly and nodded.
"Sure, I'll tell her about it you go to hair and make up."
"Kay, thanks." I started walking with Rosie there and kissed her forehead softly. "Told ya I'm not leaving your side for too long baby. We're together in this." She smiled at me and I kissed her hand.
The rest of the day was long, I worked a lot and kept Rosie as close as I could all the time. Making sure she was okay was the most important part of the job for me. At the end of the day; I packed our stuff and Max took us back to the hotel.
"Is this baby tired?" I asked her while heading to the bathroom. "Yes, you are." I said withe a chuckle after she yawned. "We're gonna give you a bath, a bottle of milk and you'll go to sleep peacefully, okay?"
That's how it went. After she fell asleep, I took a shower and had dinner before going to bed. I didn't remember being as tired ever before, but it felt nice to have someone to look out to...it felt meant to be.
