DEMI'S P.O.V.:

Rosie woke up three times throughout the night. Each of those times I helped Joe with her, but he made her sleep. He was improving in being her dad.

It was around 5 a.m. when she woke up for the third time. I walked to Joe's bedroom and stood in the frame of the door watching them. He was bouncing her and she was looking at him deeply. I couldn't help but smile as I saw them and titled my head when he laid her in her cradle after a while.

"Hey." He said after laying her down, walking to the door frame. "I'm doing better with her." I nodded.

"I know. You're doing amazing. I told you, you would." He nodded slightly and I frowned glancing to the floor. "I think it's safe to leave now."

"It's 5 a.m. You can stay longer." I shrugged.

"I think I have to leave now. The sun's out, I have to work at 7 and you and Rosie need space for the both of you."

"Umm, is this because of what I said the other day? Cause I already told you that-"

"No, it's not about it. We're good Joe, truly. But I probably should go home and get ready for my day." He sighed and nodded.

"Okay, I'll get you to the door."

"Thanks." He walked me to the door and I grabbed my car keys before turning to see him.

"See you around?" He asked me with a frown and I chuckled slightly before wrapping my arms around him shortly.

"Yes, I told you I'm not mad at you, so chill. Everything's okay...I'll be around if you let me." He nodded.

"Of course I'll let you." I smiled at him and kissed his cheek.

"Call me if you need anything. Bye."

"Thanks, bye." I left his house feeling happy even tho nothing extraordinary happened.

When I told my ex that he didn't understand Joe and I's friendship, I meant it. Not too many people really get what we mean to each other. Is like...maybe we're not around for a couple of years, nut damn, you can bet if one of us calls the other in the middle of the might, the other one will drive to get wherever. It's always been like that. Nick was closer to me but Joe and I have a special connection, not that deep as the one I had with Nick...but unbreakable.

I got home, took a shower, had breakfast and went to the studio. I would be writing that day, so it made me happy. I loved writing sessions, specially when it was with friends of mine. Cause I get to be more honest than usual.

That day I was writing with my friend Jules. I smiled when I saw her in the studio waiting for me.

"Hey." She told me with a smile and I hugged her.

"Hey, I missed you."

"Me too. But I'm so excited to write today." I nodded in agreement and sat in front of her.

It wasn't until we've spent 10 minutes there, that I grabbed my pencil and wrote down a line on a paper.

"It never matters when, where or how when it comes about you.
Space and time fades if you reach out for me
Maybe is because you still hold a part of me."

"Oh, what did you write?" I jumped a little and looked at her.

"It's not that good. I'm not sure I want this as a song I just...I was writing down some thoughts. That's all. Nothing too serious." She chuckled.

"Just let me see." She read my words and nodded with a smile on her lips. "Who are we talking about?"

"Oh is just a friend of mine and like...no matter what happens between us, we can always count in each other. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow. We'll always be there for each other."

"And what about that part of them still holding a part of you?" She asked me with a smirk and I giggled.

"I don't even know why I wrote it down like that. It just made sense in my head but whatever. That's totally nothing." I said grabbing the paper again and she sighed.

"Well, I actually think we could do something about it." I raised my eyebrows.

"Can we?"

"Let's work on that song, maybe it can be a hit."

"About reaching out for someone?" I asked with raised eyebrows.

"About an unbreakable bond with someone. Your fans love to get all the details of your life so." She said with a shrug and I laughed out loud. She had a point.

"Well. Okay, let's give it a try...but if it doesn't work, I'm suing you for opening up too much." We laughed.

"Is there more to know about this?" I shook my head.

"But that's too much." I bit my lip and started to think of more words to give her to work with.

"Years can pass but if I need a hand, you'll help me get up."

"Fuck, this is awful." I said with a loud sigh and showed her the line causing her to chuckle.

"It's okay Demi, I like it." I rolled my eyes.

"It's totally understandable if you don't. My brain is legit dead. I haven't been sleeping good this last two days. My mind's a mess." We laughed. "So sorry if I can't write good lines."

"You're doing a good job...well, I like it." I nodded.

"Thanks for the support." I said with a smile.

We spent the whole day there writing and even recording some parts of the song. We finished the lyrics. It was a hard one but at the end of the day I had a song called "Space", that talked about Joe and I's bond through the years and how special we are for each other.

I have to admit, I felt stupid for day dreaming that much about our  "perfect" friendship. Maybe he didn't think the same way about it and I was just being ridiculous.
