This chapter is very short, that's why it's out so fast. Read my message at the end of this chapter. I tell you why it's short there.

"You're telling me that you weren't bothered by that?" You ask Shino, confused.

"Coming joint first in the last BoB gave me more attention. With attention comes some aggressive individuals. Sinon gets threats all of the time and I don't concern myself with them. Although, that one was a bit different from other threats. 'Your soul will be so sweet.'" Shino begins laughing. "That's a strange one."

"You seem a lot more confident." You decide to change the topic.

"Yeah," Shino stops, a smile still plastered on her. "I do, don't I? I think I have you to thank for that."

"Me? What did I do?"

"I don't really know. I just feel a lot more relaxed with you. Like I can be myself. The world doesn't seem so big and scary anymore." Hearing that you make Shino feel at ease fills you with warmth. "Also, did you know you talk in your sleep?" 

"I do? Wait, where did that come from?" 

"Back when you were meditating you started mumbling." 

"Oh god, what did I say?" A look of horror washes over you. Shino giggles and ruffles your hair, causing you to blush. She's a lot more confident. 

"Speaking of the meditation," Shino grew a serious expression. "What happened in the semi-finals yesterday?" You feel your heart sink into your stomach. Hoo boy. 

"I did say I'd tell you after the BoB." You take a deep breath to calm your thoughts.

"I was doing my semi-final match like normal, ready to take out my opponent. I went on top of the building and saw my opponent standing in the middle of the road. He told me to come down so we could talk. I did what he said and came down to meet him. He said that he was annoyed at Kirito and his group. Something about him being a hero and stopping all of their plans. He then that I was a messenger for him because I wasn't with you that long. He said that Kirito and his friends should watch their backs. He then took my Diamatti and shot himself in the head. But the smile he had when he did it was so eerie. It was burned into my mind. It wasn't until you came over yesterday that I realized that he was one of the escaped Laughing Coffin members, Shinigami Sugawara." That made Shino panic a bit. Although, unlike last time when she heard of the escaped convicts, she calmed down pretty fast. Was this me as well? 

"I see..." She seemed lost on thought.

"Are you okay?" You ask. She nods.

"That's a lot more serious than the soul thing." Shino attempted to make light of the situation. "We should probably tell Kirito about this. He's most likely the one they want the most." Shino takes out her phone and opens her contacts. She taps a few buttons and places the phone down on the table. She had dialed Kirito's number and set it on loudspeaker. The phone rang a few times before a groggy voice picked up.

"Hello?" Kirito had picked up from the other side, but he sounded tired.

"Are you asleep? It's only six." Shino asked.

"I was until you called. I was at my new job at RATH all night and didn't get much rest. Anyway, what do you need."

"Y/N and I need to speak to you about something. When do you have time?"

"I'll be working at RATH nonstop for all of this week, but I have a free day next Monday."

"That'll do."
