Chapter 14 - Finding the Black Swordsman

"So he's not in Tokorozawa or Roppongi?" Leafa said.

"Yui, can you tell me what's at that last address?" Asuna asks.

"All I can tell is that it's some sort of Warehouse." Yui answers.

"Why would they take him out there?" Sinon asks.

"Who knows?" You said. "But we need to check there for any sign of Kirito. We should also check Roppongi just to be safe."

"It would be best if we split up," Liz suggests. "How about Asuna and Leafa check Kaigan with Klein while the rest of us check Roppongi?"

"What about Akira, Kureha, and Zeliska?" Silica asked. 

"They said they were all doing some Squad Jam thing in GGO." You explained. "They won't make it."

"So, just us then?" Leafa said. "No one seemed to interject. "Then I'll meet you at Klein's, Asuna."

~ Later that night.

"Thank you!" You shout as the taxi drives off. You, Keiko (Silica), Rika (Liz), and Shino were standing in front of a large building with red doors as an entrance. Inside you could see a reception desk with several guards standing close by. 

"Is everyone ready?" You turn and ask them. "Wait..." Everyone seemed to be wearing a white frame around their ear with a small antenna stopping short of their mouths. "Is that the Augma thing you were talking about?" You ask Shino.

"Wait, you don't own an Augma?" Rika had a face of bewilderment. "I thought everyone had them."

"Anyway, why are you wearing them?"

"They let us see and speak to Yui and Yuuki in the real world," Keiko told you. "If you don't have one then that will be a little bit difficult."

"Wait, you can speak to Yui and Yuuki through that thing? I thought it was only for AR games."

"That's part of it,"

"I might need to buy one next time I'm out. Back to the mission at hand. Is everyone ready?" You repeat. Everyone nods and you enter the building with the three girls. 

Inside was a small room with the desk you saw from outside sitting at the back of the room. The walls were a bright white with light grey tiles as flooring and a decorative dark grey mat in the middle of the room. They seem to like their whites and greys. Three different hallways lead to the reception room. One was behind the reception desk, the other two were parallel in the middle of the room with two guards each standing at them. Further down the hallways, you could see even more doors with even more guards. Yeesh, talk about tight security.

"Excuse me," You say walking up to the receptionist. "Is this RATH?"

"Yes, it is." She replies. You nod along.

"We have a friend working here, do you think we could look for him?" You lied. "We need to tell him something. It's very important."

"I'm sorry but we don't allow any visitors to intrude while the staff's hard at work. Unless you have an appointment you can't visit here."

"I understand." You said.

"We would like to ask another question," Rika says from next to you. "Did you bring in a patient from Setagaya General Hospital?"

"I'm afraid we didn't." I figured as much. They weren't just going to tell us like that. 

"Alright then, thank you, anyway." You leave RATH's office defeated.

"We didn't get much info, did we?" Keiko sighed. "Now what do we do?" She leans her head back and groans in frustration. "Wait a minute... Is that a camera?" You all look to where Keiko was pointing. Sure enough, a small camera was sitting above the door.
