As Sophie's alarm went off that morning, she bolted out of bed and ran to her closet, grabbing the outfit she'd chosen just for this day.
It was her first day of Senior year, and she was super excited.
She changed into a pair of skinny jeans and her sky, aqua, and cornflower blue-striped top. She wore sky blue converses to match and she curled her hair, so they were in beachy waves.
She grabbed her keys, phone, and bookbag—that had surprisingly held together throughout all her years of high school—and headed down the stairs to fix herself some breakfast.
She made herself some cereal and quickly ate it. She wanted to say goodbye to Grady and Edaline before she left, but they were nowhere to be found.
So, she grabbed at sheet of paper and wrote on it: I love you guys! See you this afternoon!
She walked out to her car and got in, starting it up before driving herself to school. She grinned as she parked in her usual parking spot and got out, walking into the building.
"Hey guys," She said, seeing her friends and sitting down next to them.
"Hey," They all said while Biana said, "Oh my gosh, you look great!"
"Thanks," Sophie said with a blush, and then she got a good look at everyone else's outfits.
Maruca was wearing a white dress with white flats and golden jewelry. The blue streaks in her hair were back and she looked as stunning as ever. Biana was wearing a plain, white t-shirt with a pair of pink pants and matching pink, one-inch heels. Her hair was curled, and she wore just the right amount of make-up to make her stand out even more than she already did.
She looked at the boys next, and they looked just as good. Jensi was wearing an orange and black sweater with some blue jeans and some Nike shoes. Dex's hair was combed to perfection and he was wearing a white turtleneck under a button-down shirt with some black pants and white tennis shoes.
Suddenly, the wonderful sound of chiming bells sounded through the atrium and their principal, Mr. Leto, came onto the stage with a grin.
"Good morning everyone!" He said, looking around the room. "Welcome to another great year at Foxfire. I also want to welcome our new ninth graders to the school, and to tell their upperclassmen to help them as much as you can."
"Great," Dex said with a groan. "I almost forgot: the triplets are in high school now."
Biana and Maruca groaned and Jensi and Sophie burst into laughter. They all had to try their best to keep their sounds quiet since Mr. Emery was staring the five of them down while Mr. Leto continued to talk.
"...and that's all for first-day announcements," He said, finishing. "Have a great day,"
Everyone started heading to their atrium, and the five of them gasped when, after they'd weaved through tons of halls, they saw the beautiful Senior Class Atrium. It was red and white and absolutely beautiful and regal.
"I think I'm going to like being a Senior," Maruca breathed as they all sat down to take out their schedules.
"It's still just a high school," Dex told them with a laugh. "It's not that great."
Biana scoffed, standing up with schedule in hand. "Dex, we're Seniors. All the teachers know who we are, and we rule the school."
"Well I can already tell who's going to have Senioritis," An oh-so familiar voice said from behind them.
