After I just got a big talking to I turn back to the squad.
then Cruz said to me "dude I told you not to do that. Now you just made this the most uncomfortable thing ever. She is going to be watching you like Hawk now." he said.
The other guys nod at his statement.
"okay I have to say in defense I didn't know she was going to hear." I say to them.
As everyone from the truck is coming back inside from running drills and
matt comes over to me and said "hey want a cigar break?" he asked me I nod and we walk outside and start to talk and then he asked "so what happened between you and deputy fire commission Natalie?" he asked.
"ummm... so I thought earlier today that she was lying about being deputy fire commissioner and I once she started to walk away I told the other guys that a girl couldn't do the job and some other stuff and that was her confronting me and telling me basically if I'm going to talk behind someone's back to make sure if they're out of hearing distance and then talk about them, so that's her confronting me." I tell him still a little embarrassed about what just happened and all matt could do was shake his head
"dude I hope you know that you just made a big mistake and she is now, not just going to be watching you but all of us because of your mistake." matt said to me.
"I know man I messed up I don..." I got interrupted by Connie.
"Lieutenant Severide chief like to see you in his office." and I nod
"be there in a second." I say back to her. And turn to matt putting out my cigar.
"good luck pal" matt said. and then I walk inside to his office.
chef Bodens office
I knock and I hear a 'come in' and I walked in.
the chef said "Severide take a seat." he said and you could tell he upset him.
"what were you thinking Severide. when you said that to the deputy fire commissioner? like come on you of all people should know it doesn't matter what gender you are." the chef said.
"chef I know I messed up, and she already talked to me and I think we are good now she said she hopes to see a better me next shift so I think we are okay." I say not knowing what else to say.
"I know what she said and I also know she tried giving you the chance to talk somewhere else and you didn't listen and I also want you to know that she is a higher rank than you so if she tells you to do something you doing it." the chef tells me.
"yes sir, am I free to leave." I ask him and he nods and as I am about to leave...
he said, "Severide," I turn around and he continued "just know that she is a high rank even higher rank than me so just remember if you end up in a situation then I can't help you. okay?" he said.
"yes sir." I say and go to the locker room grab my bag and then leave and go home to get ready for the next shift.
