When an unexpected visitor comes

I woke up, and it was next shift look over to my phone and see it 5:01 and I get up and get dressed because I have to the ivory tower to pick up some paperwork from station 13 and grab my report that I was going to need and a form for the Lieutenants for them to fill out to, I feel bad but they only going to fill it out once now and then later before I leave. So I hurry and get changed and get my hair done.

(by the way I do have a change of shoes in the back of the car if I need to change shows which I will they are just some plain black flats.)

I went downstairs after grabbing my phone and grab my travel mug and fill it up then grab an apple I will eat on the way to the office and then I go to the office I get up there grab my work I need and check emails real quick and then leave and head to the firehouse and then I end up arriving up an hour and a half early and then I go in and talk to the chef and then I give him paperwork that was basically to tell him what I'm doing and which will need his signature and will get back to me at the end of my stay to say I was there and I did my job. he also told me that I could use the deputy chiefs office which has a bunk inside of it which was next to his office and I say thank you and then I go to the common room and start doing some paperwork and by the time I partway, done it 15 minutes before shift starts and people start coming in and I tell them good morning and I go back my work after a few when...

someone named Kidd said "who made this coffee this morning?"

then I turn around and say "I did I hope that's not a problem I know I loved to come into the house and come straight to the coffee before calls come in. so I hope that not a problem." I say nicely

"no that's not at all, and I know what you mean I think by this afternoon I will probably have 4 cups just so I don't go crazy with all these boys here." she said

then, I hear a voice say "we are not that bad" it was Otis

"yes you guys can be some times," she said as she sat down next to me and I laughed.

"I know the feeling girl. but I think by the afternoon I would have almost had at least 7 cups of coffee." I said and she laughed.

we talked some more and then I see that its 7:30 am when the shift starts everyone was early but I think it because I was here no one wanted to be late. I continue to work on some paperwork and check emails on my computer and then I see Casey and Severide and get up and walk out. I quickly get up and go after them.

"Lieutenants" I say

they quickly turn around and Casey said, "how may we help you."

"yes, so I know you already have paper paperwork have to finish but this is just for today I need you to fill this out what happened on calls today and what happened today. sorry I know you already have paperwork but I need it done by end of shift." I tell them handing them a form and they nod

then say "also later today depending on how busy the shift is I would like to know when you guys do drilling so then I can watch so I can see what needs to be fixed or taught." I say.

"we will have these done by end of shift, is there anything else?" Severide asks.

"no thank you guys" I say and walk back away to my paperwork I grab and head back to the office I am borrowing right now. (by the way, I already changed into my black flats) and I start the lay down I hear the bells go off.

I hurry and get up and run as everyone else is running out the doors I get into my car and let the trucks come out of the garage and then I follow them with lights and sirens on. when we get there they all start to work and I am just standing back by the trucks and I see them get out the first victim
