Tried of the bullshit that is exile, Tommy sets out to find someplace to start anew; after all, as long as he doesn't step foot in L'Manburg or Dream SMP, Tommy can go anywhere.
What he doesn't expect to find, is you.
And boy, was there much more to...

| The Hunt Begins |
Techno, I send this urgently.
Tommy, according to Dream, is no longer in the camp set up for him during his exile. With Tubbo's compass broken, Dream has supposedly set off to try and search the area around Logstedshire, but I worry that he won't be able to find him before winter sets in and then the peril Tommy could be facing will worsen exponentially.
Dream wasn't sure how long Tommy has been gone and I can't help but imagine what Tommy has found himself in. I only hope he's wisened up the fact winter is here and settled down somewhere safe with food to last him.
After what happened recently, please use this chance to look for him and get away from the SMP area for the moment. I don't know if there are any more plans to hunt you down.
Please do so for my peace of mind,
Dadza
Techno at first simply blinked at the letter, a heh? escaping him in bafflement.
The kid had run? Good on him.
Still, Tommy was a teen, a child in the eyes of most, even at age sixteen and he was prone to rash decisions. His temperament was quick to rile up if the right words are said and most of all, could be pretty dumb at times.
(Normal kid stuff, really.)
Dad had also always been doting to them. Had taken them in, loved them unconditionally, made them a family.
So, knowing Tommy's unknown location would sit heavy in their father's heart, especially as Wilbur was current also MIA, Techno readily agreed to look for the youngest of them. Because as gutsy as it was, Tommy hadn't even left a note or anything to let his family know he was alright and Techno really doubts he thought this disappearing act through before doing it.
But he couldn't just rush out the door, because dad was right and winter was here already for his snowy biome. His outside crops had stopped growing weeks ago so he had started to rely on his underground greenhouse.
If Techno was going to do this, he needed to prepare for this possibly deadly trip.
Then to his surprise, there was knocking at his door. Techno stared at it for a long moment, confused. Then it came again, more rapid and louder this time.
"Who the fuck—" He ripped the door open to see that damn smiling mask, "—Dream," Techno drawls.
"I'm looking for Tommy."
"He's not—"
"I know," he cuts Techno off, "But I also know Philza enough to know he'd ask you for help. So here I am to also ask for help."
That was fast.
Maybe Techno had judged the man too fast? No, just because Dream had helped him escape the Butchers, saved Carl and seemed to be looking for Tommy didn't mean jack without knowing his motives. Best to trust him with an air of caution.
"Do you have anything in case we get stuck out there?"
Dream nodded as Techno stepped aside to let him in, "I have everything I can fit in my inven."
"Give me ten to scrounge something together and we'll head out. You come here on foot?"
"Horse."
"Good, cause we're riding."

I picture that during the colder/darker months, mobs are more likely to spawn during the day because the sun is blocked out far more frequently. This increases the dangers of not only the cold and lack of food but also monsters.
