Saw some comments on Dream and XD being the same person, but canonly they aren't. Admittedly XD seems to be just End related but I shifted that to fit the story and yeah, he is your father lmao, was it not obvious?? I know I was vague but from the use of XD as curses instead of god, I thought it about obvious.
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, I put a ref for XD on the settings page a while ago if you're curious as to how I depict him. :)
This wasn't originally going to exactly tie into the story, more of a side piece but fuck it, it's a chapter now!

Vwoops
The deity blinked into existence, eyes drawn to his young child watching the vast darkness above her.
The sounds of wandering Enderman distantly filled the air but he paid it little mind.
XD floated closer with an ounce of caution, "My child?"
Head turning to look at him, her purple imbued sclera eyes stared into his singular one. She said nothing, just tilted her head to delineate her curiosity. She need not say a word for XD to know what she was asking.
"You had wandered off," he continued, a speckle of worry colouring his voice, "Is something troubling you?"
She wilts, a hesitant furrow tugging at her brows. Her wings, which she had yet to grow into, ruffled; flickering with her unsurety.
"You have no need to worry, my child, you can tell me," His tone is sweet, loving, reassuring as he reaches a hand out to brush some hair from her face. He smiles gently when she purrs, leaning into his hand.
As he pulls his hand away, his child pouting momentarily, but points skyward to the void above them, "You tell me about stars but I see none."
XD hummed deeply as an inkling began to form within his mind as to what this might just be about.
"Stars are only visible from the Overworld, the End exists within a pocket dimension, where there are no stars visible."
"Oh," she wilts again, sadness colouring her tone. His chest tightens, understanding that his child desires nothing more than to see the stars he would whisper to her about. It made a pang of guilt fester at the knowledge he had unintentionally deprived his child of the wonderful and stunning sight of the stars.
