Chapter Twenty-One

~Your POV~

Your legs stood firmly outside the building. You really had no idea why you had brought yourself here, or why the bracelet had. You stared at the building and gulped. Two of the vampires on guard duty stared at you confused. They walled up to you as your bracelet stopped glowing releasing the hold it had on you.

"Aren't you a pureblood?" One of the two men asked you and you narrowed your eyes at them.

"I think she is." The other stated as he went to touch your shoulder he got sent flying back.

You stared at the guard who was on the floor, "You should have better manners than that." You heard a familiar voice behind you. You turned your head and saw Senri.

"Senri, thank you." You smiled at him and he nodded coming to your side. The other guard went to help his friend as Senri turned to you.

"What are you doing outside the Senate building? Of all the places." He questioned you and you raised your wrist pointing to the bracelet.

"This thing possessed my body I guess and I ended up here. I have no clue why." You explained as Senri inspected the bracelet carefully.

"So let's get this right, I disappeared for a couple of months and everything went to to crazy town?" He asked sarcastically causing you to laugh at him. Senri, although he was Quentin's half brother he was quite close to you. During your time at the academy you both had bonded as you both had the same careless attitudes.

"Pretty much. So, how's Rima?" You asked him and he smiled.

"She's good, it feels weird to be back without her though." You nodded at his statement, they were always together so it made sense.

You both heard the gate rattle and you looked over to see Zero frozen in his tracks. His facial expression was one of whom just got caught doing something wrong. You raised your eyebrow as he tried avoiding your eye contact.

"Zero, are you alright?" You asked walking over to him with Senri. He simply nodded and looked to Senri.

"When did you get back?" Zero questioned him.

"Not long ago. I heard of my brothers new status and wanted to talk to him." Senri explained, you looked over to him with hopeful eyes.

"Do me a favour, tell him to remove this bracelet from me whilst you're talking with him." You pleaded as Senri stared at you shocked.

"Wait, Quentin put that on you?" His eyes narrowed and you nodded. "What else has my brother been doing that I don't know of Elissa?" Senri asked and then looked at Zero.

"You don't want to know." You told him as Senri sighed.

"I knew it wasn't a good idea to leave him alone. I'll make whatever he's done wrong right, you have my word. Both of you." Senri promised and walked inside the Senate's headquarters. You stared at Zero and then crossed your arms.

"You still haven't told me about these orders of yours from Quentin." You told him and he scoffed.

"Aren't you supposed to be with our father? In the hunters association... You know where you're safe?" Zero shot back at you and you squinted at him.

"Touché. But I'm only here because of this damn bracelet. It took control of my body and I couldn't stop it until I ended up here." You explained and Zero quickly covered up he had widened his eyes in response.

"Well let's get you back to the association. I'm sure Kaien is probably freaking out at your disappearance." Zero told you and took ahold of your hand pulling you away from the building. You looked up to the building as he pulled you away, it was a huge building and you wondered how much Zero had been in.
